The weather has been hot but our latest Kid Librarian, Claire is too cool!

Claire visited and dropped a spectacular arrangement of book choices to share such as: Cornbread and Poppy 🐭, The Last Firehawk 🐦‍🔥, Zookeepers 🐯, I'm Going to Be a Vet 👩‍⚕️, and Bobcats! 🐱

Claire also enjoys reading about animals, King Arthur, nature, and music! 🎵 As a true artist, Claire's favorite thing about reading are the pictures! And when we asked her for a fun fact about herself, she let us know that she loves painting! 🎨

Though the sun is bright, with such varied interests, a wonderful Kid Librarian like Claire is sure to be even brighter! 😎

🐉We're back from our Memorial Day weekend with our latest Kid Librarian, Chase!🐉

Chase dropped some great book recommendations to check out including: Minecraft: The Voyage 🎮, Skandar and the Spirit War 👻, Magyk ✨, The Necromancer 🧟‍♂️, and The Race to Chimney Rock! 🏜

If you're looking for more great recommendations from Chase, be sure to check both the fantasy and history sections. Chase let us know that his favorite thing about reading is that it takes you to a different world! And a fun fact that he graciously shared with us is that he was born in the same town as George Washington!🦅

With such a presidential heritage we can only hope that a Kid Librarian might someday be a president! You'll have our vote Chase! 🗽

🌸Spring has SPRUNG! So too has our latest Kid Librarian, Rachel!🌸

Rachel brightened our day by sharing a menagerie of wonderful book recommendations such as: The Dirt Girl 🌼, Everywhere With You 🐶, Windy Night With Wild Horses 🐎, I Need My Monster 👾, Home For A Bunny 🐇, and more!

Rachel also made sure to include plenty of love for horses, dragons, mermaids and fairy tales! 🧚‍ Her favorite thing about reading is that books tell good stories. She also shared with us that she loves books! 👏

We couldn't agree more! And we're so glad that Rachel could share some of her favorites as our Kid Librarian! 🙌

We're back with another sensational Kid Librarian, please give it up for Charlotte!

Charlotte dazzled us with a spectacular selection of book recommendations such as: Wind in the Willows 💨, High Tide In Hawaii 🌸, The Spiderwick Chronicles 🕸️, The Green Ember 🔥, and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone! ⚡️

On top of such enchanting selections, she also enjoys reading about the Incas, Egypt, horses, and astronomy! 🔭 Charlotte aptly said that her favorite thing about reading is that it can "Take you on really good adventures!" 🌄 Charlotte also shared that she's taken some adventures of her own, being born all the way in Texas!

We are ecstatic to provide a couple of those adventures and even more ecstatic we have sensational Kid Librarians like Charlotte! 🌠

We recently had a wonderful conversation with Ray and Georgia Tomsheck about some of their family history farming near Ethridge, Montana. From drought related struggles on the Hi-Line to experiences in the Korean War, Ray and Georgia gave us a wonderful glimpse into the rich history of our area. This interview is a part the first Whispers of the Prairie, a series intended to document the lesser-known stories and history of rural Montana. 🌾❤️
