Wondering what to expect at Inspiring the Conversation: Discovering Connection in Conflict?

Here’s how our morning together will unfold:

8:00 AM | Registration and Check-In
8:50 AM | Opening and Introduction
9:00 AM | First Keynote
10:00 AM | Break
10:15 AM | Second Keynote
11:30 AM | Event Concludes

Our two keynote sessions will take us from reflection to practice, exploring the courage it takes to approach conflict differently and the skills that help turn those moments into opportunities for greater connection.

We’re looking forward to spending the morning learning, reflecting and connecting together on October 7 at Acuity Theater.

Every year, for the past 4 years, we have gathered to start a conversation.

Over the years, Inspiring the Conversation has explored empathy in the workplace, putting empathy into action, connection across generations and what it means to make human connection part of how we lead.

Different speakers. Different perspectives. Different challenges. But one idea continues to bring us together: the way we connect with one another matters.

Our Promise means creating spaces where compassion and quality of life can flourish, including work spaces. That's why we're excited to announce this year's annual Inspiring the Conversation!

We started this event specifically to spread the message of empathy in work spaces and that mission continues with this year's topic of Discovering Connection in Conflict.

Join us at the Acuity Theater in Sheboygan, WI on October 7, 2026 to support our ongoing efforts in our community and learn how to strengthen your teams through the connection that can be found in conflict.

It's Thrift Store Appreciation Week, and we're celebrating Richardson Hospice Resale Store and the special role it plays in supporting our mission.

The store's proceeds directly support Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, helping us continue our promise to provide compassionate care and quality of life to all those in need.

Every donated item, every volunteer hour, and every purchase become part of something bigger.

One of the greatest privileges we have is caring for Veterans.

Recently, we recognized our fifth consecutive year as a 5-Star We Honor Veterans Partner, but the true honor belongs to the over 1000 Veterans who have entrusted us with their care.

During the event, attendees heard moving reflections from members of our own team about the importance of honoring the experiences, sacrifices, and stories that every Veteran carries with them.

Your grief is shaped by your relationship, your memories, your losses, and your story. Give yourself permission to experience it in your own way.

At Sharon S. Richardson Hospice, we've learned:

- Grief can begin long before a death occurs. Serious illness, caregiving, and major life changes can bring feelings of grief before a loss happens
- There is no timeline for grief. Healing isn't about leaving your loss behind. It's about weaving it into your story and learning to carry it differently over time.
- Grief is a deeply personal experience, but support can be a meaningful source of strength and healing.

Many of our grief support programs are open to anyone in the community. We invite you to join us for the next offering in our Seasonal Support Series, In Bloom: Honoring Seasons of Life, as we create space for reflection, connection, and remembrance.

If you're a caregiver, this is your reminder: taking a break doesn't mean you're failing.

Our team continues to see caregivers show up tired, worried, and stretched thin, because they feel that their job is to stay strong.

However, you're stronger when you rest and even more so when you ask for help. Our promise we make to families is you don't have to do this alone.

Join Grief Through the Senses, a 6-week seasonal support group using mindfulness, art, and reflection to explore loss, reconnect body and mind, and process emotions in a supportive community.

This group offers a safe space to honor your experience, wherever you are in your grief journey. No art experience is needed.
