The 2026 Plane Pull Challenge returns to the FedEx Express World Hub at the Indianapolis International Airport on Saturday, Aug. 8.
Gather your friends, coworkers, family members or teammates and get ready for one of Indiana’s most unforgettable fundraising events. The Plane Pull Challenge is Special Olympics Indiana’s largest single-day fundraiser, bringing teams together to support thousands of athletes across the state while taking on an incredible challenge.
Your mission? Pull a FedEx Express Boeing 757 jetliner weighing more than 82 tons a full 12 feet down the runway. Each team can include up to 15 members, and the fastest pull earns serious bragging rights. More importantly, every dollar raised helps create opportunities for Special Olympics Indiana athletes to compete, grow and shine both on and off the field of play.
Each team’s goal is to raise at least $1,200 in pledges (an average of $100 per person). Team captains will register each team’s name, and each team member completes their registration and a personal fundraising page. Final rosters will be due on event day. All donations will automatically be added to your team total. Keep an eye on the leaderboard. Prizes will be awarded to the top fundraisers.
It may sound impossible, but teamwork, determination and a lot of cheering make anything possible. Think your team has what it takes? Sign up today and prepare for an experience you’ll never forget.
This family-friendly event also features a festival-like atmosphere with music, food, souvenirs, games and other activities throughout the day. Most importantly, all funds raised by the Plane Pull Challenge directly benefit more than 20,000 people with intellectual disabilities across Indiana. Make a difference in the lives of people with intellectual disabilities, in your community and beyond.
