Driftless Makerspace updates:
-fostered 3D printing availability at Seneca Schools
-ordered a laser cutter/engraver to arrive soon that will be available to the community
-helping launch numerous student robotics teams throughout the area, including schools of Seneca, Wauzeka-Stueben, Prairie deChien, ...
-facilitate student/professional design and construction of a robotics bench at Seneca School
-connecting adults with opportunities to learn alongside young people in ways such as: Deconstruction Workshops, Robotics, Experience/Travel Presentations.

Crawford County Student Robotics is building steam! Perhaps I should say "charging up" as we don't envision any "steam power";-)

Yet another way Driftless Makerspace is supporting our community in "Making" is we have ordered a laser cutter engraver that combines 2 laser types (CO2 for textiles, wood, acrylic, ... AND Fiber laser for metals like stainless, bronze, steel, ...)

We're presently considering where this amazing resource should live so that it is available to the 10 expected FTC Robotics teams to home schoolers and school districts of North Crawford, Seneca, Wauzeka, and Prairie deChien close to 24/7.

We also intend this to be available to "non-robotic" folks in our community, and are determining how to make this both financially accessible as well as fiscally sustainable (that's a balancing act as you can imagine). There will be "consumables", maintenance costs, and energy costs, so we've got some figuring to so.

Get ready to build, create, and explore! Our Robotics program planning kicks off on April 21st, and we can’t wait to see who wants to help shape it.

Roborics entails everything coding to engineering challenges, collaborating, and public speaking. Students will have the chance to work as a team, problem-solve, and bring their ideas to life.

📅 Start Date: Tuesday, April 21st
📍 Location: Seneca Town Hall
⏰ Time: 5pm
