Our holiday spirit looks a little extra ag-mazing this year 🎄✨

Students showcased their creativity and pride by decorating two Christmas trees for the holidays, each with its own special story:

✈️ Mobile Regional Airport Tree
Welcoming travelers with a warm touch of Americana charm, this tree is wrapped in student-made garland, vintage-inspired ornaments, and homegrown details.
Whether you’re flying home or flying out, we hope this tree reminds you of the heart and hands behind agricultural education—and the traditions we build one project at a time.

🌲 Outdoor Viking Pride Tree at Semmes Honor Park
Back home at the City of Semmes Honor Park, our outdoor tree stands tall, showing off our Viking pride while highlighting one of our favorite places on campus—the greenhouse. From handcrafted decor to colors that represent who we are, this tree is our invitation for the community to stop by, celebrate with us, and remember that growth happens here—year-round.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to share our programs, our students’ work, and a little holiday joy with our community. 💛💙

One of our students asked if he could make some things to sell during the upcoming Fall community events.

Kyler is working on his SAE by creating porch hangers for hanging baskets and horseshoe pumpkins. He’s building skills and using his own creativity to come up with some pretty cool designs.

His creations will be available for purchase during our Saturday Sale (October 18) and the Semmes Fall Festival on Sunday, October 19. Stay tuned!

Edited to add: if anyone has any horseshoes they’re willing to part with, Kyler would appreciate them!

We’re back from Spring Break and we’re OPEN!

Come check out our beautiful flowers and hanging baskets. We also have plenty of tomatoes, peppers, spearmint, onions, lemon grass, and marigolds.

Regular hours: Monday-Friday 8AM-2PM

Special announcement!
We will be OPEN for two more Saturdays:
May 3 and May 10. Hours will be 9AM-12PM on those Saturdays. These sales days will help us pay for the trip to the state FFA Contests and Convention, so come purchase some plants!!

Our Semmes FFA officers and their advisor Ms. Dent had a great time at the Mimi & Poppy's Place Community Homesteader Workshop on Saturday, February 21. What a fantastic way to kick off National FFA Week and continue celebrating National CTE Month! The event was PACKED all day long with a steady stream of visitors and community members.

Ms. Dent and Semmes FFA President Emma Blankinchip took the stage at 12:30 to talk about starting your own garden and how we’re growing plants and future leaders.

We’d like to give a special shoutout to Mimi & Poppy's Place for inviting us and putting together this wonderful event, all of the vendors for their great set ups, the City of Semmes for helping promote the event, and most especially the community members of Semmes and the surrounding area for coming out!

We are already looking forward to the next workshop!

We are officially taking orders, but they must be placed in person with Ms. Dent at the greenhouses. NO ONLINE ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED. These planters are built on demand.

Our 2026 Spring Plant Sale kicks off Tuesday, March 17, and our students have been hard at work seeding, transplanting, watering, and getting everything greenhouse-ready. They’ve put in the time, and it shows!

Our students have been busy in the greenhouse planting seeds, transplanting seedlings, and getting everything ready for our Spring Plant Sale, which begins Tuesday, March 17. Their hard work is paying off, and we can’t wait for everyone to see what they’ve grown!
