We had an amazing transport today!!!! These four in particular.

The little tabby from the garbage can which we named Mead went today!!!

Little Cream the kitten that was found by a busy road.

Sophie the kitten that was running across Highway 24 and
Mr. Hobbs who was dumped at a feral feeding station.

All of these didn’t have good outcomes but thanks to caring people who took the time to look for them and pick them up they are now on to a better life. They will have families of their own.

This is what we do. Take cats/kittens off the streets. Get them healthy and vaccinated so they can find their forever homes.

Please consider donating so we can continue what we do.

We are so happy that we have Sophie with us. Just last week she was found running across a busy highway in Moxee luckily someone saw her and was able to pick her up. Bobbie went and got her and brought her to us.

She is the sweetest little girl. She is just full of love to give.

Because of your donations we can help kittens like Sophie.

This little girl was seen in the rocks by a busy road and they posted her on Facebook. We had two people go look for her and luckily Jeanette found her hiding by a tree.

Cream is very lucky to have been found. She is a bit shy and hides in her litter box but will be fine and we are so happy she is safe with us. She also has a bit of upper respiratory and has been put on antibiotics.

Jeantte did walk around using the kitten crying app but no other cats or kittens were seen .

She is home with her foster and doing well. She has a heating pad and has not gotten off of it. She is also eating on her own!!! And she loves Ge**er Chicken Baby Food.

She is a little skittish but she will be fine in a few days. She is also a polydactyl and has the cutest mittens!!!

She was given IV fluids, treated for fleas and put on eye meds and antibiotics. She is very lucky to be alive and will make a full recovery.

We still have a balance at the vet if you could possibly donate it would be greatly appreciated.

We could really use your help and prayers for the little tabby kitten.

She was found sitting in water in the bottom of a garbage can.

She is now at the Selah Vet . The poor thing’s body temperature is low , her glucose level is low and she is covered in fleas. They are putting her on IV fluids and warming her up.

Please donate directly to the vet:

WE ARE IN DIRE NEED OF DONATIONS

Baby Girl is saying "Whew!" She had an emergency dental yesterday and ALL her teeth were pulled except for her two lower canines. She spent two nights at the clinic.

Today, she's feeling great and glad to be rid of all those infected teeth that were causing her pain. Her quality of life was poor because of it.

Thank you to Dr. Julie Young for getting her in immediately. The change in her behavior is miraculous and that's due to the excellent care received at the Yakima Valley Veterinary Clinic.

We need donations. The majority of cats we bring in are sick/injured needing veterinary services. 100% of donations go towards their care.

You can call and donate directly to Yakima Valley Vet Clinic towards the Underground acct.

We love and thank our supporters and followers. We can't help community cats without your support.

This sweet little boy we have named Sammy. He is a lucky little boy to have been found. He is also a tiny little thing that doesn’t even weigh 1 pound. Here is his rescue story.

A young man was out walking and saw an orange cat in a church parking lot.
The next night he saw a little orange kitten but no adult, he hoped that the mother was close by , but the third night he saw the kitten again all by itself. So he called a clinic in Benton City and it just so happens that someone was doing paperwork on a Saturday night and took the call. And then they called us. So we went out and met the young man and picked Sammy up. He had been hiding in a hole of a brick where leaves had blown in and he had a nice safe little nest. He was a little scared but once we fed him he was happy to have a full belly.
Before we left we played an app of kittens crying or a momma calling for her kittens but no other cats or kittens appeared. The young man has been checking when he has been out walking but has not seen any other cats/kittens.
Welcome to UCCR Sammy!!!!

Uno is the Underground mascot representing community cats in the Yakima Valley. He was born with a cleft lip, along with a missing eye and nostril. Because of this, he's had many vet visits to check his mouth and tooth growth. His front teeth have been growing in wonky.

Yesterday he went in for his first dental procedure. Not only were the two wonky front teeth removed but 5 teeth were extracted in total.

Today, Uno is doing great and all is well in the world. A huge thank you to Selah Veterinary Hospital for giving Uno the of best care.

SIGNS OF DENTAL PROBLEMS IN CATS
*bad breath *drooling or dropping food
*red, swollen, or bleeding gums
*pawing or rubbing at mouth *reduced grooming

All our rescues have their mouths checked for dental issues during intake assessment. This year, the Underground has done more dentals than usual. Community cats live a hard life so it's not surprising we see dental disease so often.

Uno's mom covered his bill, but we would love donations to go on our veterinary accounts at:

Please help us help them.

These kittens were found by a very busy and dangerous loading dock. No momma in sight. They are filthy dirty, extremely hungry and of course have upper respiratory.

We will update tomorrow with new pictures. But for now they have been bathed , medicated and are now sleeping on a heating pad.
