The Selah Downtown Association’s mission is to cultivate strong partnerships by promoting our Historic Downtown as the community’s econom

ic and cultural center. Our Vision:
The Selah Downtown Association’s vision for the future of our historic district supports a community with enriched locally owned and operated businesses that embrace a spirit of diversity. Streets and sidewalks surrounding these businesses will be safe, encouraging a variety of pedestrian activities. The heart of Selah will be full of eye-catching appeal such as artwork, greenery and updated storefronts, cultivating a sense of community while preserving our history. We will accomplish our vision by following the Mainstreet approach with volunteers, partnerships and city involvement. Providing education and grants to support and promote our local businesses will in turn revitalize the look and feel of the downtown district.

NOTICE - CONSTRUCTION PROJECT STARTING WORK:
EAST ORCHARD AVENUE SOUTH SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT

Dear Selah Residents,

Please be advised that the East Orchard Avenue Sidewalk Improvements Project will soon be starting construction. The existing sidewalk on the south side of East Orchard Avenue from North 1st Street to Wenas Road will be removed and new sidewalk, curb, gutter, and other associated improvements will be constructed.

Please do not park alongside the construction area (see image below) during the project. The contactor will make every effort to maintain access to your property during the construction project, but there will be periods of time when your driveway may be inaccessible.

SCHEDULED DATES & TIME
WHEN: September 8th - 28th (Mon - Fri)
TIME: 7:00 A.M to 3:30 P.M.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as the construction crew completes this important work.

When community steps up for community, beautiful things happen. ❤️

The Selah Downtown Association has been working with a tighter budget as we made the leap to business ownership. That meant some of the things we would normally purchase—like supplies to help keep our downtown flower bins beautiful—simply weren’t in the budget this year.

So, we reached out for a little help…and SA Carlson was the first to raise a hand!

A very special thank you to Russ and Emily Carlson for their generosity and willingness to support our downtown. Those colorful flower bins may seem like a small thing, but they add warmth, pride, and beauty to the place we all call home.

Thank you for helping us continue to cultivate a downtown Selah we can all be proud of! 🌺❤️
