Wenas Wee-num Animal Sanctuary Equine rescue, rehoming, providing sanctuary for all animals In addition, to providing them a home when care can no longer be provided by their owners.

Mission: To give all draft and draft-cross equine a second chance by saving them through auctions and kill pens. Goal:
Rescue: To save all unwanted, abused, and/or neglected draft equine from going to slaughter. Rehabilitation: To provide the best possible care by providing a loving, nurturing environment where ‘horses can be horses’ without fear. To restore their health and wellness both physica

lly and mentally. Rehome: Dedicated to finding a loving forever home for each and everyone of the rescued. Refuge: If ever unable to find a home outside of WWAS, then they will live out their lives in our love and care. Why the name: We live in the Wenas Valley and that is where the sanctuary is located. Wee-num means – “Come to me’. Equine - because it’s not just for horses, but also donkeys and mules that have draft in their blood. Sanctuary – they will forever have a home if unable to find them one.

We did it! Billie Bob competed against other any age Belgians and he took reserve champion!!! He was a tad upset Mystic Blue was in the barn but got back safe and sound. Decided against showing Mystic until maybe next year. So proud of our big boy!💙💙💙

We have a new addition or two to the sanctuary! Little Sebastian and his mama. (still thinking on her name). We will be partnering with Spirit of Hope Equine Center for Life & Learning later this summer and fall. So excited! They are miniature horses with Sebastian only being 15 days old!
