The momentum is moving east!

Last month, Seattle passed historic protections for polyamorous, non-monogamous, and diverse families.

Now, we have movement in Kirkland and an opportunity to turn Seattle’s win into a wave of protections across the Eastside!

Join us October 14th to hear what’s happening in Kirkland, celebrate the wins happening across Washington, connect with our community, and learn how you can help.

After more than a year of advocacy, WE DID IT! ❤️

On September 15th, in partnership with and the Seattle City Council, SCFRE helped pass historic protections for polyamorous, non-monogamous, and diverse families in Seattle!

Over the past year, we've had the privilege of working alongside some truly incredible advocates, community members, and partners who helped make this possible.

It's hard to put into words what it means to see all of that hard work turn into real, meaningful protections for our community.

This is a huge win for Seattle, for our community, and for everyone who deserves to live openly and love without fear of discrimination.

We did it, together. ❤️

No relationship structure is inherently better than any other! The work is breaking down expectations and assumptions that stop us from listening to ourselves and understanding what we want and need.
If polyamory is right for you, trying to be monogamous after a challenge will only ever lead to more challenges. If monogamy is right for you, trying to be polyamorous will only be putting yourself through the discomfort not of navigating challenges on the path to what you want, but of pushing yourself to a goal that doesn't fit you.
If you're aromantic, chasing romantic experiences will have you misidentifying your emotions and mishandling your relationships because of it. If you're romantic, trying to deconstruct your emotions to politics will take you out of yourself, and your self is the only place you can live an embodied politic.
You are you, and that's all you need to be.
