Perched above the Sonoma coast, the cedar-and-glass Sea Ranch Chapel feels less constructed than conjured. Designed by James Hubbell and completed in 1985, the tiny sanctuary rises from a community shaped by an unusual promise: that architecture would honor the landscape instead of competing with it.
Inside, light shifts with the weather and the ocean seems close enough to breathe.
