💯 FOR SALE: 8-12 W. OLIVE STREET: The Previous Keystone Mission! 🏢✨ Please Share This Post! Would You Buy It?
Looking for a property with deep local roots and incredible potential? The former Keystone Mission property at 8 & 12 W. Olive Street is on the market for $299,900! ⏳ A Century of Community Roots
Originally constructed around 1930, these two interconnected buildings span roughly 5,472 square feet and have spent nearly a century embedded in Scranton's history. Over the decades, the space evolved from early community and office facilities into a dedicated hub for local outreach.
In late 2006, the property was purchased by Keystone Mission, moving their operations out of mobile box trucks and into a permanent brick-and-mortar storefront. From its official opening on January 25, 2007, until its recent closure, the site served as a vital neighborhood lifeline functioning as a day room, community center, and emergency winter shelter.
🚀 Ready for Its Next Chapter
Following a consolidation of operations, this historic site is completely vacant and ready for a fresh vision. Situated right across from the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail pavilion and just minutes from downtown, Scranton High School, and regional medical colleges, this dual-parcel property offers a fantastic footprint for commercial offices, a nonprofit headquarters, a creative studio, or a unique residential conversion.
😎 The physical configuration and layout of the rooms are detailed below:
• Total Buildings: 2 interconnected structures spanning a total of approximately 5,472 square feet.
• Total Rooms / Offices: 11 total rooms distributed across the entire property layout.
• Bathrooms: 5 bathrooms in total.
• First Floor Layout: Features a main entry reception area, multiple wide-span group workspaces, bathrooms, and 2 private offices.
• Second Floor Amenities: Includes additional private rooms, bathrooms, and a fully functional built-in kitchen.

🚨UPDATE ON PENNSYLVANIA SKILL GAMES: PA Supreme Court Denies Extension! Banned This Tuesday! 🚨Please Share This Post!
The legal battle is over, and the clock has officially run out. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has officially denied emergency requests from a bipartisan group of lawmakers to extend the stay on enforcement.
This means there is no more time. If you own a bar, convenience store, VFW, American Legion, or fire hall, the 120-day grace period expires at midnight this Tuesday, October 13, 2026.
Here is the newest, critical information issued by state authorities that you need to know immediately:
🛑 "Switching Off" is NOT Enough: The Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General and State Police have made it clear that machines must be physically removed from the premises, not just powered down or unplugged. If an illegal machine is on your floor on Wednesday morning, it is subject to immediate seizure.
🚔 Seizures and Charges Begin Wednesday: Starting Wednesday, October 14, law enforcement will begin active enforcement sweeps. Non-compliant businesses face criminal gambling charges under the Crimes Code, and police will confiscate the machines, associated equipment, and all cash proceeds inside them.
💰 The Revenue Standoff: Small business groups and nonprofits across PA are panicking—hosting rallies this weekend to protest the ban. These 70,000 machines generate vital revenue for local pubs and veterans' clubs. While state lawmakers have debated taxing them (with proposals ranging from a flat $500 monthly fee up to a heavy 52% tax model), the General Assembly failed to pass a bill before the court's strict deadline.
⚠️ Liquor License Liquidated: If you operate under a PLCB liquor license, keeping these now-illegal slot machines on your property is a fast track to losing your license.
Lawmakers are not scheduled to return to session before the deadline, meaning the ban is going into full effect. If you host these games, you must clear them out by Tuesday night to protect your business.
