Our mission is to love people where they are without leaving them where they are at. The VH Dream Center is a center for community where the needs of people in Scottsville, especially in the areas of recovery and homelessness, are met. We believe nothing is too lost or broken for God to heal, and we are committed to meeting the urgent needs of others through the outreach of the Dream Center by con

necting them to God and one another. The VH Dream Center exists as a hub of practical help and life-giving hope to families in Scottsville, KY. Located in the heart of downtown, the Dream Center gives donors and supporters the opportunity to make a direct impact in the community by providing resources and long-term skills in order to help families gain traction towards spiritual, mental, and physical stability. The mission of the Dream Center is to reach people with the love of Jesus by meeting both physical and spiritual needs. It is our hope that through building relationships, providing community, and sharing the love of Jesus Christ that we can remove barriers and help people reach their fullest potential. Our vision is to build a community of resilient people whose lives have been changed through God’s love.

Our recovery community grows every day… and so does its strength. ❤️

Tonight at the Recover Out Loud NA meeting, we got to celebrate several people picking up key tags ranging from 30 days to 2 years!

We say it all the time: recovery happens one day at a time. Tonight was a reminder that those days add up.

Halfway through Day 2 at the Kentucky Overdose Prevention Summit, and what a couple of days it’s been. 💙

Today, our team had the honor of presenting, “A Place to Go: Why Every Rural Community Needs a Recovery Community Center.” We got to share the story of what we’ve seen happen right here in Scottsville when a community decides that people deserve more than a pamphlet and a phone number…they deserve a place to go, a place where they’re known, supported, and reminded that hope is still possible.

But here’s the truth… while a few of us have been in Louisville talking about the work, the real work never stopped back home.

The Dream Center doors still opened. Lunch was still shared around the table. A recovery meeting was still held. People were still welcomed, encouraged, and reminded they weren’t alone.

To our Dream Center family back in Scottsville, thank you for holding down the fort and for making sure the mission continued while we were away.

And to everyone who’s supported this work, thank you for believing that recovery matters and that rural communities deserve a place to go.

Scottsville, you should be proud. The work happening here is saving lives!

The VH Dream Center is growing... and we're hiring. ❤️

As our programs, partnerships, and opportunities continue to expand, we're excited to open a brand new position: Operations Coordinator.

We're looking for someone who loves creating order out of chaos, tracking the details, building systems, managing projects, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. This behind-the-scenes role will help us steward grants well, strengthen our organization, and allow our team to stay focused on what matters most—loving people and changing lives.

These sweet kiddos came ready to serve with big smiles and even bigger hearts. We love seeing young people learn what it means to love their neighbors and be a blessing to their community.

🌟 Dream Center Volunteer Spotlight 🌟

This month, we are honored to spotlight Jeff Kitchens or Uncle Jeff to some!

There isn’t a day that goes by that Jeff isn’t at the Dream Center serving others. His heart is incredibly big, and he loves people well. Whether he’s setting up and tearing down for events, playing with kids, holding doors open, cleaning up, packing lunches, offering a hug, or sharing an encouraging word, you can always count on Jeff to show up and be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Jeff is passionate about community, serving others, and making sure everyone feels welcomed and loved. His servant’s heart is evident in everything he does, and the impact he makes on those around him is immeasurable.

We are so thankful for Jeff’s dedication, faithfulness, and willingness to serve wherever there is a need. Thank you, Jeff, for being such an important part of the VH Dream Center family. We love and appreciate you! ❤️
