The covered bleachers are coming in handy today with the heat index of 100 degrees. But that’s not slowing down these die hard riders and spectators today! Thank you to everyone that came and supported the promoter and their event and bought food or drinks from the fair board out of the Saddle Club building. This makes the 17th event so far for the 2026 season at the historic Scott County Fairgrounds, with more on the schedule.

We would like to extend our gratitude to AISIN Drivetrain, Inc. for their sponsorship of the rodeo. Despite a little rain, the Aisin Drivetrain Saturday Night at the 3-J Ranch and Rodeo proved to be a resounding success. Not only did their employees have the opportunity to enjoy a premier rodeo experience, but they also appreciated the refreshments provided in a courtesy building and unlimited amusement rides on the midway. Although the 2026 fair has come to a close, we are already making preparations for the 2027 fair. The rodeo event for tonight is on still on for 7 pm with some changes thanks to 3”+ of rain yesterday. The grandstands area is flooded so we will be holding it in the horse arena located in the south west corner of the fairgrounds. There will be limited seating available so we suggest that you bring lawn chairs and old shoes. The whole fairgrounds is muddy, there is no way to avoid the mud. We are doing everything in our power to have this event but it is not an ideal situation. Therefore we will not be charging for this event. If you purchased online tickets ahead of time you will be refunded, it may take a few days to complete the transaction.

Tonight’s grandstand event will be rescheduled for another time to be announced as soon as a date has been nailed down.

🚨 SCOTT COUNTY FAIR DEMOLITION DERBY UPDATE 🚨

Unfortunately, tonight's Scott County Fair Demolition Derby has been CANCELED due to weather.

Mother Nature won this round, and while we're just as disappointed as everyone else, the safety of our drivers, officials, staff, and fans has to come first.

The good news is we do plan to reschedule this event! We are currently working through the details and will announce the new date as soon as everything is finalized.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate everyone's understanding and continued support.

Thank you to our drivers, fans, fair board, officials, staff, and amazing sponsors. We can't wait to get back to Scottsburg and put on the show you deserve!

In anticipation of the weather arriving later this evening, the Midway rides will open at 5:00PM tonight, rather than the originally scheduled 6:00PM. Please share this information and we eagerly await seeing everyone tonight.
