✨ One week ago, we gathered for a day of prayer, brotherhood, and formation. Today, we look ahead to a new year of supporting our seminarians and strengthening Catholic men throughout our Diocese. ✨

Men from every corner of the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux gathered for the Maximilian Kolbe Society’s Inaugural Men’s Retreat—a day marked by prayer, fellowship, formation, and a renewed call to discipleship.

Through inspiring talks from Fr. Nick Ware and Paul George, Holy Mass with Bishop Emeritus Sam Jacobs, time in Adoration, Confession, the Rosary, and prayer alongside Bishop Simon Peter Engurait, men were encouraged to grow deeper in their faith and embrace their vocation as leaders, husbands, fathers, and sons of God.

The day also celebrated a remarkable milestone: the presentation of a $100,000 gift to the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux in support of seminarian education and formation. In just one year, the generosity of Maximilian Kolbe Society members has made a lasting impact on the future of our Church.

As we reflect on this grace-filled retreat, we also look ahead with gratitude and anticipation. Our current membership year is coming to a close, and a new year of mission and impact is about to begin.

Now is the perfect time to renew your membership or join the brotherhood.

Through your annual membership, you help provide for the education and living expenses of our seminarians while standing alongside other Catholic men committed to prayer, fellowship, and service to the Church.

The retreat may be behind us, but the mission continues.

Let’s begin this new year of the Maximilian Kolbe Society with renewed faith, renewed purpose, and renewed commitment to supporting the future priests of our Diocese. Learn more or renew your membership at KolbeSociety.org.

✨ The Wait Is Over... The St. Joseph’s Dinner Is Returning ✨

Save the date for one of the most anticipated evenings of the year.

On Thursday, October 15, 2026, the Catholic Foundation of South Louisiana will once again welcome guests to the Nicholls State University Cotillion Ballroom for our Annual St. Joseph’s Dinner—a celebrated evening of faith, generosity, inspiration, and impact.

Year after year, this signature event draws a sold-out crowd from across the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux, bringing together Bishop Simon Peter Engurait, clergy, community leaders, benefactors, and friends to celebrate the extraordinary ways God is working through our Catholic community.

And this year promises to be something even more special than years past.

Over the coming weeks, we'll begin unveiling exciting announcements, including this year’s grant recipient, featured speakers, special honorees, event experiences, and other surprises we’ve been eager to share. Each announcement will tell a story of faith in action and the lasting impact of Catholic philanthropy throughout our Diocese.

This is more than a dinner—it is a celebration of lives changed, ministries strengthened, and a community united in mission.

🎟️ Tickets and sponsorship opportunities will be available soon. As always, seating is limited, and this highly anticipated event has a tradition of selling out quickly.

A formal invitation will follow. To learn more and stay up to date on upcoming announcements, visit: www.catholicfoundationsl.org/st-josephs-dinner/ and event updates can be found here, Catholic Foundation of South Louisiana's St. Joseph's Dinner
