What a beautiful evening of faith, fellowship, and community we have ahead of us!

The Maximilian Kolbe Society and Mother Teresa Women’s Giving Circle are coming together TODAY for a special Mass and Couples' Reception, and we would LOVE for you to join us!

Mass begins at 4:00 PM at the Cathedral of St. Francis DeSales Church - Houma, followed by fellowship, dinner, and a very special guest speaker at the St. Francis Youth Center at 5:00 PM!

We are especially excited to welcome Fr. Pio Maria, CFR, who will share an inspiring reflection on “Living Extraordinary Holiness in Our Daily Lives.” What a beautiful reminder that we are ALL called to holiness, right where God has placed us!

Remembering Roman. A Legacy of Faith That Lives On. 🕊️💙

Some lives, no matter how brief, leave a light that never fades.

Today, on Roman Robichaux’s birthday, we remember a young man whose 15 years on earth left a beautiful and lasting impression on so many. Lovingly known as a “Fisher of Men,” Roman had a heart for Christ, a love for his family, and a quiet courage that inspired others to live their faith more deeply.

And today, we see that same light continuing to shine in the lives of others.

This past May, we had the beautiful privilege of celebrating six remarkable young people through The Roman’s Quiet Courage Virtue Award, an endowed scholarship established by the Robichaux family through the Catholic Foundation of South Louisiana.

Among those honored were this year’s award recipients, Justin Keife of St. Genevieve Catholic Elementary School and Cole Rhodes of Vandebilt Catholic High School, whose examples of humility, integrity, courage, and love for Christ reflect the very virtues Roman lived so beautifully.

What began as one young man’s witness to faith is now inspiring a new generation to follow Christ with that same quiet courage. That is the beauty of Roman’s legacy. His story continues through the lives of others.

We are deeply grateful to the Robichaux family and The ROMAN Foundation for entrusting us with this meaningful tribute and for ensuring Roman’s light continues to shine throughout our Catholic community.
