The Adirondack Amateur Radio Association (AARA) completed its 2024 Technician class prep course on April 27th with a dozen participants passing the entry level test and becoming licensed amateur radio operators. There was a large delegation from Search and Rescue of the Northern Adirondacks (SARNAK) who will now add the reach and flexibility of the amateur radio infrastructure to the tools they can deploy in their life saving work.
AARA begins it's warm weather activities with a busy schedule beginning in May with the Round the Mountain canoe race. AARA provides back country and emergency communications to a number of community events throughout the warm weather months.
