CANDELARIA - In an inspiring act of compassion, a dedicated teacher at Dolores Macasaet National High School in Candelaria, Quezon, reaches out to support a student-athlete in need. Mr. Jay Mark Anthony Liwag, a teacher and volleyball coach, noticed the athlete's lunch struggle due to financial constraints and stepped in to offer nourishment and assistance.

Liwag, in a heartfelt Facebook post, shared the student's story, shedding light on the family's financial hardships affecting her school allowances and meals. The athlete, preparing for the Palarong Bayang competition, faced the dilemma of scarce resources.

Moved by empathy, Liwag generously extended a helping hand by providing free lunches throughout the sports event. Additionally, he utilized social media to rally support, seeking sponsors for the athlete's training and competition shoes. The response was overwhelming, showcasing the power of community and altruism.
