This weekend, four of our Pack 628 leaders and committee members traveled to a neighboring council to attend BALOO training through the Sam Houston Area Council!

They had an amazing time strengthening their leadership skills and learning new ways to make Scouting fun, educational, and memorable. Training topics included Leave No Trace, outdoor safety, campfire ceremonies, first aid, rope tying, hiking, nature, and many other valuable skills they are excited to bring back to our pack.

The weekend was also an important reminder about creating a positive culture within our pack and keeping the Scouting spirit alive. We volunteer for the children and the experiences we can provide for them—not for ourselves. At the same time, our attitudes and enthusiasm directly affect our Scouts. When our leaders are happy, encouraging, and excited to participate, that same positive energy is reflected in the children.

The Scouting community was incredible, and our leaders enjoyed exchanging ideas and having meaningful conversations with members of other packs. They returned with fresh ideas, renewed enthusiasm, and even more motivation to make Pack 628 the best it can be!

We are grateful for their time, dedication, and commitment to creating a positive and memorable Scouting experience for our families. 💙⚜️

**IMPORTANT** message from our Pack 628 Cub Master- Aaron.

Good afternoon everyone!

I hope that everyone is doing well, I am sorry for the late message, but I've been trying to secure a location for tonight's meeting.

Some of you might have heard that the KC Hall is without AC in the main room, and as an abundance of caution and due to the heat of the day,

We are making a decision to CANCEL tonight's meeting.
We will stay in touch, and provide any news on the situation as it comes up.

Please let me know if there are any questions.

YIS,
Mr. Aaron

☀️ What a Summer It's Been! ⚜️

Cub Scout Pack 628 has been making the most of summer by exploring, learning, and having fun together!

So far, we've:
🛥️ Toured the Houston Ship Channel aboard the M/V Sam Houston
✈️ Explored the Lone Star Flight Museum
⚾ Cheered on the Sugar Land Space Cowboys
🦈 Hunted for shark teeth along the Texas coast

And we're not done yet! We still have our Georgetown Campout, a visit to Fort Travis, a ride on the Bolivar Ferry, Karankawa Pottery at the Rosenberg Library, an Inner Space Cavern adventure, skating at FunCity Sk8, and our Pack Pool Party coming up!

A huge thank you to all of our families for making these adventures possible. We love seeing our Scouts build friendships, learn new things, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Here's to an amazing second half of the summer! ⚜️💙💛

If you've been thinking about joining Cub Scouts, we'd love to have you! You're welcome to join us at any of our upcoming summer adventures to see what Pack 628 is all about. It's a great way to meet our families, make new friends, and experience the fun of Scouting before our regular meetings begin this fall.

Come see why Pack 628 is one of the most active Cub Scout packs around—we'd love to have your family join the adventure! ⚜️
