Key Operational Highlights for August 2026

1. Endangered Minor Interceptions & Cross-Border Extraditions

The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Missing Child Unit, operating alongside regional task forces, located and secured dozens of high-risk juveniles across multiple federal judicial districts. Notable enforcement actions included:

International Custody Apprehension: In coordination with Canadian law enforcement and the Department of Justice, federal agents arrested a fugitive in Canada wanted on federal charges for child sexual exploitation in the U.S.

Targeted Highway & Transit Interceptions: Inter-agency sweeps identified and removed at-risk minors from high-trafficking corridors before transit exploitation could take place.
