About the Poet:
Jax NTP is a poet and educator with an MFA in Creative Writing (Poetry) from CSULB who teaches critical thinking, literature, and composition at IVC, GWC, and SAC. Jax is also an editor and active literary citizen in Southern California, building spaces for language, imagination, curiosity, and difficult questions. Rooted in q***r absurdity and immigration’s afterlives, their poetry follows cephalopod logic, exploring how fragmentation and displacement become inheritances nobody asked for while sending the banal to breakfast with the uncanny and the grotesque. Their work appears in FENCE, Berkeley Poetry Review, Apogee, Cordite Poetry Review, Lunch Ticket, and elsewhere. In 2026, Breakwater Review (University of Massachusetts Boston MFA) nominated Jax NTP for Best New Poets. IG: Jax NTP
