Today we remember the men and women who gave everything for this country and for our freedoms.

May we never forget the cost of freedom, and may we always honor those who paid it.

What Officer Julian Vazquez has been put through is hard to comprehend. A case that never should have been brought forward has forced him to fight for his career, his reputation, and his future.

At the same time, it has been remarkable to watch his attorney, Tom Yu, fight for him every step of the way.

This video brings together key moments from both hearings, moments that show the human cost of decisions that change lives.

Judge it for yourself.

Our continued thoughts and prayers are with Deputy Levi Vargas’ wife, Amanda, his family, friends, and partners. A man described by many as the very embodiment of esprit de corps — loyal, selfless, and committed to those he served beside.

LASPA is heartbroken by the tragic loss of Deputy Levi Vargas, a dedicated member of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department assigned to San Dimas Station, who passed away after suffering a medical emergency while representing his Department during the 2026 Baker to Vegas Challenge Cup Relay.

Deputy Vargas served the people of Los Angeles County with honor, professionalism, and commitment, and his loss is deeply felt across the law enforcement community.

We extend our deepest condolences to his wife, family, friends, and partners during this incredibly difficult time, and we stand with the men and women of the San Dimas Station as they mourn one of their own. His service and sacrifice will not be forgotten.

Today was one of the most earth-shattering moments in modern law enforcement history, for several reasons. What we witnessed was courage, truth, and vindication.

stood in front of the cameras & did something most law enforcement leaders are too afraid to do; he told the truth about political interference, corruption, and the abuse of power coming from the very people sworn to uphold the law.

In doing so, he publicly confirmed what many of us have been saying for years: was right.

When launched public corruption investigations into LA County elected officials, the elite political establishment did everything they could to destroy him. AG Rob Bonta obstructed the investigation by having his investigators seize the investigation, & allow the statute of limitations to expire. The public deserved answers. Instead, the investigation died. Today, that history was laid bare by another sheriff who refused to stay silent.

That took guts. Speaking like that comes with consequences. Bianco knew all of that & he said it anyway. Even bigger- The same politicians who have handcuffed law enforcement, undermined public safety, and interfered w/ public corruption investigations were supported, funded & protected by many law enforcement unions that were supposed to stand with their members. Let that sink in.

While deputies were risking their lives, some union leadership was writing checks to the very politicians working against them. Strengthening the same political machine that has spent years weakening the profession and shielding corruption. That betrayal cannot be ignored anymore. Today was a turning point.

was vindicated. showed what real leadership looks like. And the system that has protected corruption for years is starting to crack.

The public is paying attention. The rank and file are paying attention. And the people who thought this would stay buried should be very nervous.

Retired El Segundo Police Chief Mitch Tavera was brought in by the City of Torrance as their outside use-of-force expert.

That’s despite the department’s own expert, Sgt. Wells, already concluding that Officer Julian Vazquez’s force was justified and reasonable. So the City hired an outside opinion to try to overturn their own findings.

Watch the testimony and decide for yourself.

This case is about more than Officer Julian Vazquez. It’s about the leadership decisions that determine the careers and futures of police officers.

These are the people conducting investigations & making decisions that can end an officer’s career. Watch Attorney Tom Yu’s cross-examination of Torrance PD Lt. Kent Krumbach. Judge it for yourself.

Cross-examination continues tonight at 6 at Torrance City Hall. We hope to see you there!

Every cop should watch this.

Careers are decided based on investigations like this.

When testimony is tested under oath, competence matters. These are the “leaders” shaping your futures. This is what’s happening at the once-great Torrance PD.

Julian’s attorney requested transparency so the public could see the process for themselves, and see the truth. not a summary or a press release but the actual record.

Watch it. Judge it for yourself.
