Saturday March 28th 2026 Station 36 along with Volunteer's from the Madison-Rockingham Rescue Squad Station 200 and the Patrick Springs Volunteer Fire Department Company 23 Patrick Springs, Virginia, participated in and Advanced Vehicle Extrication Class at our training center. The Class scenarios consisted of a vehicle in a structure with a patient pinned in, another scenario consisted of a vehicle that had rolled over multiple times landing on its side and the patient partially pinned under the vehicle, and the last scenario was a vehicle down in embankment where rescuers had to repel down the embankment to the patient. It's great to see (Volunteer's) coming out on a Saturday to train, and to move the vehicles into position for the Volunteer's (Thank you Alan). What would we do with out Volunteer's.

Special thanks as well to Billy Priddy with Priddys towing and recovery and Luke Brown with Bunny’s Garage for providing the vehicles to use!

Our annual Easter egg hunt proved to be a resounding success, as parents were delighted in watching their children joyfully search for hidden eggs. Also kids had the opportunity to have their picture taken with the Easter bunny. Every year we look forward to this event, because it's so fun watching kids be kids.
Special thanks to our volunteers, auxiliary and the Sandy Ridge Ruritans for making this great event happen again!
Also a big shout out to Checkers Grill for supplying free hot dogs for all attendees!
