San Diego Civic Youth Ballet (SDCYB) is excited to partner with Blair Search Partners on a search to find an Executive Director to join and lead the team.

Since 1945, SDCYB has been a cornerstone of San Diego’s arts community, serving as the resident classical ballet school in the heart of Balboa Park. The organization is committed to making ballet accessible, inclusive, and meaningful for thousands of children and families across the region.

Out of respect and concern for the community during the ongoing incident at the Islamic Center of San Diego, today’s planned arts and culture rally and advocacy activities at Civic Plaza will be postponed. The San Diego City Council meeting scheduled for today has also been postponed.

"Dancing at SDCYB has taught me to work hard and never give up on what I love. My favorite memory at SDCYB is my first time performing on stage as a gingerbread child in the Nutcracker. I am planning to go to college to study anthropology and I want to continue dancing in college."

We'd like to introduce you to Mary!

"At SDCYB I have learned not only technique, but also that I love ballet. SDCYB has taught me so much about myself as an artist and an athlete, as well as how to persevere and find my strengths. I have also learned the importance of community! My favorite SDCYB memory is the Nutcracker each year. Whether it be large rehearsals on Friday nights or performing in early December, the Nutcracker is something that I will always remember. After graduation, I plan to go to college and study International Relations!"
