Salina Guns & Hoses Salina Guns & Hoses: Tradition, Dedication and Bravery. Please join us and show your support.

Since 2006 the Salina area Firefighters and Law Enforcement Officers have kept the Guns vs. Hoses tradition alive in hopes of making a difference in the community. This competition not only helps local charities and families, but also unites the civil service employees to come together for the greater good of Salina. Not only are these men and women protecting and serving the community by keeping us safe, they try to give back to local charities and families in their spare time.

🎉🎂 HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY, CHARLEY! 🎉💖

Five years of smiles, giggles, sweetness, and making the world a little brighter! 🌞 We hope your special day is filled with lots of love, laughter, presents, cake, and all the magic a little girl could dream of! 🦄🩷✨ Never stop sparkling! 👑🎀

A HUGE thank-you to the Salina Fire Department for hosting such a fantastic Birthday Eve party last night! 🚒❤️ You helped make the celebration extra special and created memories that will last a lifetime. Afterall, you helped crown 3 new “real firemen”! 🙂 We appreciate everything you do for our community, both on and off duty! 👨‍🚒🔥

Charley, here’s to being FIVE and fabulous! 🥳🎈💗

Even though this brings a close to the 2026 fall fundraiser, Charley and her family will forever be part of the Salina Guns & Hoses family! ❤️💙

❤️ Together for Charley ✨

To our incredible community, we are blown away and deeply humbled by the overwhelming love, generosity, and support shown throughout our fall fundraiser for brave Charley as she battles Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa (RDEB).

From every serve & volley at our Paddle Battle Pickleball Tournament -- to every step taken at our 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb -- to every donation, share, and kind word along the way, you proved what happens when a community rallies behind one of its own. Climbing those steps in honor of heroes past and in solidarity with Charley’s ongoing fight was a powerful reminder of our shared strength, sacrifice, and hope.

This effort would not have been possible without our extraordinary community partners, local businesses, and volunteers. Your unwavering support, resources, and commitment to making a difference provided the foundation for this success.

Over the next couple of weeks, we will close this chapter and put a pretty bow on it with our family pizza party at the Salina Fire Department.

Thank you for showing up, stepping up, and proving that no one fights alone.

💪 STRONGER TOGETHER. 💙❤️

From all of us at Salina Guns & Hoses — THANK YOU! 🇺🇸

📢 Public Service Announcement!

Yesterday we received an email from someone we know. However, like an idiot, I attempted to open the "invitation" without verifying. And next thing I know... I started getting a ton of undeliverable emails back. I HOPE I have got it stopped, but just in case more emails go out the next couple days, DO NOT OPEN THE INVITATION. One return email from Gmail says they might continue to try and deliver the email for the next 45 hours. Simply, just delete the email. This may have gone out to dozens of people in our contact list.

I apologize for this inconvenience.

🩶 Salina Guns & Hoses is incredibly grateful to recognize our 2026 Silver Sponsors:

🔘 Jerry Short & Jessica McMillin — Salina Homes Real Estate Consultants
🔘 Smoky Hill Guttering
🔘 Salina Professional Firefighters — IAFF Local 782
🔘 Josie McNelly & Christina Simpson — Salina Homes Real Estate Consultants

What makes these sponsors so special is that they’ve been here before. Every one of these supporters has previously stood behind Salina Guns & Hoses and our mission, and their decision to continue supporting us means the world to our organization.

🏠 Salina Homes Real Estate Consultants, represented by Jerry Short & Jessica McMillin and Josie McNelly & Christina Simpson, continues to demonstrate what it means to invest in the people and community they call home.

💧 Smoky Hill Guttering has continued to step up and support our efforts to make a difference right here in Salina.

🚒 And our friends at Salina Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 782 hold a particularly special place in the Salina Guns & Hoses family. As our local firefighters’ union, they understand firsthand the importance of supporting the men and women who answer the call. Their proud support of Salina Guns & Hoses over the years is a tremendous example of 1st responders supporting 1st responders.

Their sponsorships help make our 3rd Annual Paddle Battle Pickleball Tournament and 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb & Family 5K Walk possible — but their impact goes far beyond these events.

Their support allows Salina Guns & Hoses to continue working toward a stronger community by:

🚔 Supporting LAW ENFORCEMENT
🚒 Supporting FIRE
🚑 Supporting EMS
🇺🇸 Supporting ALL 1ST RESPONDERS
❤️ Helping LOCAL FAMILIES IN NEED
🤝 Building stronger relationships between our community and those who serve it

To Jerry, Jessica, Josie, Christina, Salina Homes, Smoky Hill Guttering, and IAFF Local 782 — thank you for continuing to believe in our mission and for standing with us year after year.

Your continued support is a reminder that when a community comes together, we can make a real difference.

From all of us at Salina Guns & Hoses — THANK YOU! 🇺🇸

STRONGER TOGETHER. 💙❤️
