Through adaptive sports and fitness, DASA empowers individuals with physical disabilities to find their inner athlete. These programs are theraputic.

DASA recruits individuals 5 years old - Adults with a permanent physical or visual disability who have difficulty participating in sports with non-disabled peers. Our sports programs are more than just lessons or competition. They gain self-confidence, strength, and endurance, along with social support for children and parents.

DASA is excited to call the CarShield Sportsplex our new home ice for our sled hockey program!

Thanks to our partnership with CarShield, our sled hockey athletes have a dedicated place to practice and compete! For more than five years, CarShield has invested in DASA athletes, expanding adaptive sports opportunities and helping athletes find a place to belong, grow, and succeed!

DASA's Move Our Mission event on Saturday, November 7th directly supports programs like Camp WeCanDu!

Our annual week-long summer camp provides youth with physical disabilities a traditional camp experience through adaptive activities, confidence-building adventures, and lasting friendships. Campers come together in an inclusive environment to celebrate their abilities, build meaningful connections, and experience a true sense of belonging.

DASA covers thousands of dollars in scholarships each year to keep camp affordable for families, while also providing meals, lodging, and an endless lineup of exciting activities and unforgettable adventures!

DASA's Move Our Mission event on Saturday, November 7th directly supports programs like our Competition Teams.

DASA offers one of the Midwest's largest selections of competitive adaptive sports, with opportunities to develop skills and compete against other athletes from teams across the region and nationally.

We support over 100 athletes across our 10 competitive teams, providing coaching and securing funding for the adaptive equipment our athletes need to participate and compete. From $500 in sled hockey equipment to $5,000 basketball wheelchairs and track racing chairs, and power soccer chairs costing up to $10,000, DASA covers these significant equipment costs to help remove financial barriers and give athletes the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Thanks to everyone who supported and competed at the Crazy 8's Wheelchair Rugby Tournament last weekend! We hosted 5 teams from 4 states and held 10 matches over 2 days!

Wiggles & Giggles introduces toddlers to adaptive sports through fun, play-based activities that build strength, coordination, body awareness, social skills, and independence. Geared towards athletes from 2-5 years old, we use age-appropriate games, movement, and sensory activities, so young athletes develop confidence while learning and playing together.
