What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon! 🎨🐟

This past weekend, we hosted our very first watercolor class with the talented Cheryl Engstrom Art, and the artists created beautiful koi fish paintings full of color, creativity, and personality.

A special shout-out to Bob, whose koi fish painting turned out absolutely amazing! We loved seeing everyone put their own unique spin on the project and the pride that came with creating something from start to finish.

Classes like these are about so much more than the finished artwork. They're opportunities to try something new, build confidence, connect with others, and simply enjoy the experience of creating together.

A huge thank you to Cheryl for sharing her talent and making watercolor feel approachable and fun for everyone. We hope this is just the first of many opportunities to bring creative classes like this to our community.

We are proud to be collaborating with Cheryl Engstrom Art for this fun afternoon! Come out and learn about painting with watercolors!

I've partnered with local Life Empowered at 105 Port Avenue in St Helens to be able to host a beginner watercolor class at their classroom. June 13 2-4 PM. $30 per person. Pre-registration is required. I'd love to see you all there, if you still have an unused gift certificate from me, this class would be the perfect time to use it! Cassie Heisler Asumendi

🍲Empty Bowls Soup & Chili Contest🍲

Do you have a crowd-favorite soup or award-winning chili recipe? We’re inviting our community to help make this year’s Empty Bowls event extra special by participating in our inaugural Soup & Chili Contest!

Community members are encouraged to submit their favorite homemade soup or chili recipe for a chance to be featured at our Empty Bowls event on September 25th.
💚How It Works
* Participants will submit their contact information along with the soup or chili they would like to enter into the contest.
* Up to 14 soups and chilis will be selected to participate in our public tasting event.
* The tasting competition will take place on **July 18th at the Columbia County Fair**
* Judges will sample the entries and vote for their favorites.
* The **Top 7 soups/chilis** will earn a featured spot at our **Empty Bowls event on September 25th**, where they will be served to guests during the event.
💚Contest Details
* Entries may include any style of soup, stew, or chili.
* Participants should be prepared to provide enough soup/chili for 10 tastings during the July 18th event.
* Finalists selected for Empty Bowls will also provide their soup/chili for the September 25th event.
* Additional event details, serving requirements, and timing information will be provided to selected participants.

Whether your recipe is a longtime family tradition or your own creative masterpiece, we would love to showcase the incredible talent and generosity within our community while helping support our mission to fight hunger.
