A gigantic THANK YOU to all of the participants that joined us for last night's Recovering Together Café! There were 26 attendees along with our team of facilitators, parent partners, and table hosts helping create a welcoming space filled with connection and support. It was so nice to see a combination of new faces and long-time Café participants!

The notes our facilitators are holding up in this photo are things participants shared with us during the Café...ways that they were inspired by other participants and things they're taking away from their Café experience. One of the things we love most about the Café is the opportunity it provides for us to learn from one another. 💛

Remember, we do NOT host Cafés in July, so our next Café is Tuesday, August 18th. We'll be at Joy Lutheran Church along with our program partners, Family Resource Center St. Croix Valley and Polk County Community Services Division.

In the meantime, there are so many great sober events happening in and around Polk County over the summer months! You can check out Onyx Sober Living's awesome new recovery events calendar on their website to see what's coming up: https://www.letsrecovertogether.org/recovery-events

✨️ Thank you to Sara Haase and Stephanie Larson of Exhale Women's Collective for inviting the Mental Health Task Force to be part of Exhale - A Women's Event this weekend!

They created such an inspiring event, and it was wonderful to see so many women join together at Croix-View Farm LLC for a day focused on wellbeing and support.

It was a joy sharing mental health resources and connecting with attendees throughout the day. Opportunities like this help us reach community members and share the message that mental health matters!

Thank you, Sara and Stephanie, for all the work and dedication that went into making Exhale such a great experience. We were grateful to be there! 💛

📣 Welcome, Jacob!

We're so excited to welcome Jacob Bents to the Mental Health Task Force of Polk County as our Community Outreach and Research Intern this summer!

Here's a little introduction from Jacob:

"Hi! My name is Jacob Bents, and I am excited to be spending the summer as a Community Outreach and Research Intern with the Mental Health Task Force of Polk County. I am a rising sophomore at Princeton University studying Ecology & Evolutionary Biology and hope to one day work in healthcare. Working with the Task Force this summer, I am most looking forward to meeting community members and learning more about local mental health needs."

Jacob will be supporting community outreach efforts, assisting with research projects, and helping advance the Task Force's mission to improve mental health in Polk County through education and innovative programming.

We're grateful to have Jacob on our team this summer and look forward to introducing him to our community. If you see him at an event, be sure to say hello!

If you've followed Saphire Realty's story over the past five years, you know they show up for our community in so many ways.

They're incredibly generous with both their support and their time, consistently showing up for nonprofits like ours as sponsors, donors, volunteers, advocates, and champions of the work happening across Polk County. They truly invest in making our community the best place to live!

And we're especially grateful to Jena Paquette, Saphire Realty for serving on our Polk County Su***de Awareness Walk planning committee each year. Her dedication and support is just another example of how Saphire gives back! 💙

Congratulations on five years, Saphire Realty! Be sure to join them this Saturday for their anniversary celebration. 🎉

💛 We're looking forward to participating as an exhibitor at the Walk for Lives Event & Memorial Walk on Saturday, July 11 at Pine Park in Balsam Lake. Join us!

Hosted locally by Racin’4Recovery in partnership with United Against Fentanyl, this event is part of the nationwide Walk for Lives movement. The Mental Health Task Force will be there sharing information about local mental health resources, su***de prevention initiatives, and free programs available throughout our community. We'd love to connect with you, so please stop by and say hello!
