Easy K Ranch Easy K Ranch is a 501c3 non-profit, serving individuals with developmental disabilities through day & residential programs, life skills, and nature-based care.

Empowering abilities with love and purpose since 1964! 🩵 The Easy K Ranch is a home for persons who are developmentally disabled and is located on a large working ranch in North Central Arkansas. We function as a large family, not as an institution. Our residents are trained to "give and take" as you would in normal family living. Each person is accepted as who they are, not who we wish they were.

A wide range of disabilities is represented; those of a higher ability help those who need more supervision, thus providing the satisfaction that comes with service to others. Our goal is for the individual to become as independent as possible and to realize their highest potential. A specific program is planned for each individual. Our facility is licensed by the Arkansas Department of Human Services, a division of Development Disabilities Services. We were founded in 1962 by Dr. E. Robbins Kimball, a Pediatric Neurologist from Glenview, Illinois. The program is operated by the Board of Directors of the Easy K Foundation, Inc. and is funded entirely by private means. The shortfall in tuition income is made up through donations and income from investments. We have been able to maintain a very reasonable tuition through careful budgeting. We receive no federal or state funds, although some of our residents do qualify for SSI, Social Security Disability, Medicare or Medicaid support. Our facility is in operation 365 days a year and we encourage planned or unannounced visits anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Many, but not all, of our residents return to their homes for Christmas and summer vacations.

Do you love cooking homemade meals and serving others? We’re looking for a dedicated cook to join our team!

🕒 Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
🍳 Position: Full-Time Cook

Responsibilities:

* Prepare and serve 3 delicious meals each day
* Cook homemade meals from scratch
* Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
* Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
* Help create a welcoming mealtime experience for those we serve

Ideal Candidate:

* Enjoys cooking and baking
* Reliable and hardworking
* Able to work independently and as part of a team

Saturday evening DSPs Justin and Amanda took a few of the boys to the John 3:16 Unity Fest, and they had a great time! There are moments at Easy K Ranch that remind us exactly why we do what we do.

This past week, we watched a family make memories together that may have never happened without support, planning, staffing, encouragement, and a team willing to go the extra mile. For many of the individuals we serve, family vacations are not simple. They require trust, coordination, supervision, medical planning, behavioral support, transportation, and caregivers willing to put their whole hearts into making it possible.

But we believe our clients deserve the same opportunities as everyone else — to feel the ocean breeze, laugh with family, shop for souvenirs, sit around a dinner table together, explore new places, and simply experience joy.

At Easy K Ranch, we don’t just provide services. We help create moments that families will remember forever.

Seeing families relax for the first time in years because they know their loved one is safe… watching siblings make memories together… seeing our clients light up with excitement and confidence in new environments… those moments are priceless.

Our staff sacrifice time away from their own families, work long hours, and pour their hearts into this mission because they truly love the people we serve. And honestly, that kind of compassion cannot be taught.

We are so thankful to every employee, family member, and supporter who helps make these experiences possible. This is what person-centered care looks like. This is what community looks like. This is what love in action looks like.

And we will continue doing everything we can to make sure the people we serve get to experience a full, meaningful, beautiful life. ❤️

Today we celebrate Crystal’s 26th anniversary with the Easy K Ranch 🤍

Crystal began her journey as a direct support person, and not long after starting, she met her husband, Brandon, right here at the ranch. They built their life together alongside her career, and she even worked up until the birth of both of their children. Her babies quite literally grew up at the Easy K, spending nights here with her which is something that speaks so deeply to how much this place is a part of her life.

Through years of dedication, heart, and unwavering commitment, Crystal worked her way up to Director and now serves as the licensed administrator of the Easy K. To say she lives and breathes this place would be an understatement. Her passion for the residents and her work shines through in everything she does.

Her care doesn’t end when she leaves for the day. Crystal is constantly thinking about the well-being of the individuals we serve, always going above and beyond to ensure they are supported, safe, and truly cared for. Over the years, the ranch has grown tremendously, and so much of that is a direct reflection of her leadership, sacrifice, and tireless effort. She has given countless hours, often at the expense of personal and family time, because her heart is so deeply rooted in this work.

We are beyond grateful for everything she has poured into the ranch over the past 26 years. Her impact is immeasurable, and we are so lucky to have her leading, loving, and inspiring us every single day.
