Easy K Ranch Easy K Ranch is a 501c3 non-profit, serving individuals with developmental disabilities through day & residential programs, life skills, and nature-based care.

Empowering abilities with love and purpose since 1964! 🩵 The Easy K Ranch is a home for persons who are developmentally disabled and is located on a large working ranch in North Central Arkansas. We function as a large family, not as an institution. Our residents are trained to "give and take" as you would in normal family living. Each person is accepted as who they are, not who we wish they were.

A wide range of disabilities is represented; those of a higher ability help those who need more supervision, thus providing the satisfaction that comes with service to others. Our goal is for the individual to become as independent as possible and to realize their highest potential. A specific program is planned for each individual. Our facility is licensed by the Arkansas Department of Human Services, a division of Development Disabilities Services. We were founded in 1962 by Dr. E. Robbins Kimball, a Pediatric Neurologist from Glenview, Illinois. The program is operated by the Board of Directors of the Easy K Foundation, Inc. and is funded entirely by private means. The shortfall in tuition income is made up through donations and income from investments. We have been able to maintain a very reasonable tuition through careful budgeting. We receive no federal or state funds, although some of our residents do qualify for SSI, Social Security Disability, Medicare or Medicaid support. Our facility is in operation 365 days a year and we encourage planned or unannounced visits anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Many, but not all, of our residents return to their homes for Christmas and summer vacations.

🎬 Help Bring Smiles to Our Clients at Easy K Ranch! ❤️

We’re looking for FREE DVD donations to help build our movie collection for the amazing individuals we serve at Easy K Ranch.

Watching movies is one of our clients’ favorite ways to relax, spend time together, and create lasting memories. Your donation can provide hours of entertainment, comfort, and joy.

If you have DVDs collecting dust on a shelf, we’d be incredibly grateful if you’d consider donating them instead of throwing them away. Every donation—big or small—makes a difference and is truly appreciated.

🌻 Empowering Independence — Ranch Style! 🤠💚

What an incredible experience representing Easy K Ranch at the Beyond the Borders Regional Conference at the Conway Human Development Center!

Our Executive Director Crystal Johnson, Assistant Director Emily Grimes, and Program Director Natalee Faver had the opportunity to learn, connect, create, and share alongside others who have the same passion we do — helping individuals with disabilities live lives filled with choice, purpose, independence, and opportunity.

One of the highlights was Crystal presenting “Empowering Independence — Ranch Style,” sharing how we do things the Easy K way. ❤️

For us, independence isn’t about doing everything alone. It’s about giving people the support, encouragement, opportunities, and tools they need to make choices, develop their abilities, discover what they enjoy, and take pride in what they accomplish.

And we didn’t just talk about it — we jumped right in! 🌻🎨 From beautiful flower arrangements to creative projects, Resident Council discussions, and lots of new ideas, we came home inspired and ready to put what we learned to work at the Ranch.

We are so thankful for the opportunity to represent Easy K Ranch, learn from others, and share a little bit of what makes our Ranch so special.

Because at Easy K, we’re not just providing services.

Happy 25th Anniversary to Brandon & Crystal Johnson! ❤️🎉

Twenty-five years ago today, two people whose hearts were forever tied to Easy K Ranch said “I do.”

Brandon grew up with his family serving at Easy K Ranch, and Crystal began working here soon after she was out of high school. Little did they know that this special place would become their life’s work.

Over the years, they’ve poured their hearts into this ranch. Crystal even went into labor with both of their babies here, proving that Easy K has truly always been home. Through every challenge and every milestone, Brandon has been faithfully by her side. Together, they’ve helped keep Easy K strong, guided its growth, and played an incredible role in the expansion that has allowed so many more lives to be touched.

Their love for each other shines through in everything they do, and their dedication to our staff, clients, families, and friends is something we are endlessly grateful for.

Happy 25th Anniversary, Brandon & Crystal! Thank you for your unwavering commitment, your servant hearts, and for showing us what love, faithfulness, and hard work look like. Here’s to celebrating 25 amazing years and wishing you many more to come! ❤️
