I’m not posting these photos for pity, and I’m not posting them for graphic detail. I’m posting them to tell a story.

​People whispered. They said I was nothing. They pointed out that I lost weight, that I looked terrible, and that I had completely withdrawn and isolated myself.
​What they didn't know—and what they couldn't see—was the cold truth and the endless tears behind domestic violence. While people were judging the surface, I was just trying to survive the storm.
​These stories are real. The pain is real. The truth is real. They used my pain to tell a version of a story they know nothing about. The other parent told my child I just chose not to call. They talk about the phone calls getting less and less. There are hundreds of pictures to this chapter I closed.

​I wouldn't wish this nightmare on my worst enemy, and I truly pray that the people who judged me never, ever have to go through what some of us have to endure just to make it to the other side. But to anyone who is hurting in silence right now: I see you, I know the truth, and there is a way out. 🕊️ Brokenness doesn't get the final say.

​To anyone currently trapped in the middle of abuse: I know what it feels like when you're just trying to survive, feeling completely broken, defeated, and like there’s no way out. But I am living proof that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. He can restore your joy and peace.

​Domestic violence is a serious reality. In Arkansas, 1 in 4 women will experience it. It’s not just physical—it’s emotional, financial, mental, and sexual.
​I want the world to know that there is life after the brokenness. It is a beautiful life, because God specializes in making beauty from the ashes. 🕊️

They don't just let you go.

They make everyone believe they survived YOU.

They take your pain and wear it as their costume.

One of the dirtiest final moves a narcissist makes when they know you have left and you're not coming back:

They make everyone believe they survived YOU.

They create a story where they tolerated you, supported you, handled your moods, protected the children - and still tried to keep you in their life.

They may even tell people you had an addiction. That you had someone else. That despite all of this, they still wanted you.

They take the very things they did to you - and present them as things they survived from you.

They take your suffering and make it their testimony.

Your silence becomes proof that their story is true. Your exhaustion, trauma, reactions, breakdowns, anxiety, pain all turned into evidence against you.

That's why this move is so dirty.

By the time you leave, you are already tired. Emotionally drained. Trying to rebuild yourself. You are not thinking about destroying them. You are just trying to breathe again.

But they cannot tolerate that.

They cannot tolerate the fact that you left with the truth inside you. They cannot tolerate the fact that you know who they are.

So before you speak, they try to poison the room. They try to kill the reality before reality exposes them.
