Sachse Baseball Association

Sachse Baseball Association Recreational / Competitive Baseball League for Players 3 - 14 Sachse Baseball offers many different options for youth baseball.

BLASTBALL
Young children starting out, ages 3 and 4, are able to play BlastBall which is a team sport set up to teach children teamwork along with the basic skills for Baseball. Each player gets to bat and field just like they would in T-ball. With a foam bat and 4"foam ball children are safely able to develop there hitting skills from a smaller T and after hitting they get to run to 1st base

which will "HONK" when jumped on. The excitement keeps young children focused and gets them to feel great about their sport. T-BALL
Children aged 5 and 6 continue to develop their skills by adding all three bases and positions. The inclusion of a helmet and a T-ball, a soft core baseball help the teams safely learn and hone their skills and ability to make plays. Players even have the option of letting their coach pitch the ball to a batter if the batter reaches that skill level. COACH PITCH
Children aged 6 to 7 play games without a T and get to be engaged by hitting only pitches from their own coach. With the additional skill of ball location combine with the foundation from T-ball players will hone in their ability to make plays with little or no instruction from their coaches during games. The knowledge of where to throw the ball or where to make the out begins to become natural at this level. KID PITCH 10u
Youth from age 8 to 10 play with their age group only. Pitchers in the same age group are now pitching to their peers, with the addition of stealing bases and the dropped third strike rule, players will be playing their own “Baseball” games. Coaches will keep the children learning skills through active involvement from 1st and 3rd bases.

12u
Players 10yrs old to 12yrs continue to learn skills and increase their ability’s playing with their own age group.

14u
13 and 14 year olds keep learning and practicing matching their skill level to move into high school baseball. Actively participating in games and practices coaches hone their player’s skills to the children’s best abilities.

Fields are still too wet to play on. Fields closed for Wednesday, April 22

Rainy days don’t have to mean a day off.

Since the fields are wet, move the practice to the garage! It’s a great time for some simple tee work, soft toss with a foam ball, or even just working on that glove hand. A little bit of work every day goes a long way in building those skills and staying ready for the next game.

How are your players staying sharp today? We’d love to see your favorite at-home drills. Email your photos and videos to [email protected].
