Calling all RHS artists! The Conservation Club needs YOU to help design our next buttons and apparel! 🎨

Submissions are open to any Russell High School student. Designs should connect to themes like conservation, recycling, wildlife, sustainability, or our local environment.

Submissions due November 24!

🌱 Meet our 2025–2026 Kentucky Green School of the Year! We’re excited to celebrate Russell High School for their outstanding commitment to environmental stewardship, student leadership, and community engagement! 💚

Throughout the school year, students completed all five Kentucky Green Schools investigations and turned what they learned into meaningful projects, including a revitalized recycling program, “Mussel Monday,” a conservation mural, and a new outdoor classroom. 🌎🌿

We can’t wait to celebrate Russell High at the KAEE 50th Annual Conference this November!

We’ll be having our first meeting of the year this WEDNESDAY (8/19) in Room 117 from 3–4 PM!

New to the club? No problem! Joining Conservation Club is as easy as showing up—no dues, no paperwork, and no prior experience needed!

Each year, KAEE recognizes individuals and organizations who demonstrate outstanding dedication, commitment, and influence in the field of environmental education. This year’s honorees are:

So excited to share that Russell High School has been recognized by The Kentucky Association for Environmental Education as the 2026 Kentucky Green School of the Year! 🌱

Our kids have worked so hard throughout our inaugural year in the program and I am so proud of what they've accomplished. Their work will be recognized at the KAEE Annual Conference in Lexington this November.
