Midway District 4-H Horse Project members: Reminder about the upcoming June 1st deadline

🚨Due on June 1st: Horse Identification Papers (found here: https://www.midway.k-state.edu/4-h/fairs/docs/horse-identification-certificate_P1039.pdf). These need to be signed by an extension agent and copied at the Ellsworth office by the end of the day on Monday, June 1st.

Due prior to the scheduled horse show: Proof of a negative Coggins is needed to exhibit at the horse show: "This needs to be provided AND VERIFIED prior to coming to the show. It is not due on June 1st, so make sure to submit those also to our offices or email to [email protected]

Reminder, this is for any 4-H youth who will sell animals at the Ellsworth or Russell County fair. It is a requirement to have the YQCA training completed by July 1st.

Seasonal Program Assistant Position: K-State Extension, Midway District, is seeking a seasonal program assistant with primary responsibilities for the 4-H program.
The positions will be seasonal from June to September 30th, 2026. Will work up to 40 hours per week.

Part-Time Summer Office Program Assistant Positions: K-State Extension, Midway District, is seeking two friendly, organized, and motivated individuals to serve as part-time summer assistants for the Russell and Ellsworth offices.
The positions will be for nine weeks, June 1st - August 7th, 2026. Will work up to 40 hours per week, with scheduling dependent upon the candidate’s availability. No overtime or benefits will be provided with this position

🚨Midway District 4-H livestock project participants. Due to recent staff changes, the YQCA training program that was scheduled for this Wednesday, May 20th, has been cancelled.
We will be rescheduling it for another date and time with another YQCA instructor. So stay tuned for more information about the rescheduled date and location.
