Our first Open House celebration was Fillmore County! Our hearts are full as we reflect on connection, memories, and celebration. Thank you to everyone who joined us—our legislators, local government leaders, community partners, volunteers, clients, and dedicated employees.

For 60 years, Semcac has been honored to serve our communities, and this event reminded us that our mission is only possible because of the people who walk alongside us every day. We are humbled by the support, inspired by the connections, and grateful for the partnerships that continue to make a difference across Southeast Minnesota.

Semcac Head Start is looking for a compassionate and motivated Family Service Advocate (FSA) to support children and families in our communities. This role is perfect for someone passionate about early childhood education, family engagement, and community support.

🌱What You’ll Do
Build strong, supportive relationships with families.
Help families connect with community resources and services.
Support classroom activities and child development.
Assist with family goal setting and parent engagement activities.
Participate in home visits, conferences, and program events.
Promote a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment
Serve as a liaison between Head Start and community partners

Qualifications
✔ Experience working with children from birth to age 5
✔ CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
✔ Willingness to complete Family Services Credential training within 18 months
