As we celebrate Weatherization Month this October, we're recognizing the lasting impact of the Weatherization Assistance Program, which has been helping families improve energy efficiency and affordability for 50 years.

Weatherization goes beyond lowering utility bills. It helps create homes that are more comfortable, energy efficient, and healthy throughout every season. During Weatherization Month, we're celebrating the Weatherization Assistance Program and the difference it makes in communities across the country.

Each year, approximately 35,000 homes receive weatherization services through funding from the U.S. Department of Energy, helping families save energy, improve comfort, and create healthier living environments.

At Semcac, our Weatherization Team works with eligible households to make homes more energy efficient so residents can spend less on utility bills and stay comfortable throughout Minnesota's changing seasons.

Did you know you can receive a $500 stipend while learning the skills for a new career through the Weatherization Career Training program?

Participants will learn the basics of building science and have the opportunity to earn an industry-recognized credential that can help launch a career in energy efficiency.
