And just like that, our fundraising event is complete. Thanks to everyone who is in involved in this event which helps us raise money for scholarships.
As we close out the 2025 Bluff Land Triathlon event with photos of our winners and some random photos/thoughts over the next few days, we truly want to give a heartfelt thanks to EVERYONE involved in this event.
As the committee chair (Brenda), I can not give enough praise to the committee members who plan out this event annually. Amy, Sally, Joyce, June, Ellen, Jen, Jake and Duane are AMAZING people that we all can count on to make race day successful.
To our 50+ volunteers along the routes and in the transition area, every year you are the people who make a HUGE difference to those participating in this event. The encouragement, guidance, assurance and overall helpfulness you give, is reflected in the experience felt by racers. We also know there are a few of you that jumped in last minute to assist too. THANK YOU ALL for making race day a great day!
To our participants, WOW! I never fail to be inspired by you. We have some superior athletes that are part of this event. Hats off to you! We also have participants that use this to check off an item on their bucket list. We had first timers who have never done anything like this ever and were probably scared but were willing to challenge themselves. I watched a little girl who was so amped to do the bike portion of her family's relay team. I overheard a participant say they beat last year's time by 15 minutes! You can't watch this event without being moved by what you see and hear.
Thanks to our sponsors. Thank you to the DNR for use of the bike trail for our event. Thank you to the City of Rushford's public works for the maintenance of the grounds and all the other details you take care of for this event. Thanks to our local fire department/ambulance personnel for hanging out in case we have an emergency situation. Thanks to anyone who loaned us any equipment. Thanks to anyone who just jumped in where needed!
And to top it off, this event raises money for high school scholarships for Rushford-Peterson students. Some of those students, current and past, also participate in this event by racing or volunteering.
It was an interesting year with having to modify our hike route in lieu of storm damage a few weeks ago and even the impending storms which managed to stay away from our day's event. Nonetheless, we will close out with another TERRIFIC year of raising funds for scholarships and being inspired.
THANK YOU!
