Havayah is inspired from the Tetragrammaton of G-d’s Divine Name, the four Hebrew letters yud-hei-vav-hei, arranged differently, which results in the meaning “existence” or “being”, serving to indicate the relation between The Creator and the verb “to be”. Rather than treating reality as a jumble of incidents, we recognize that our world is governed by the absolute and unchanging laws of nature, known as cause and effect. We have the ability to uncover new understanding of reality, and with it, the ability to shape it and live in the NOW.

✨ L**h L**ha — Go to Yourself. ✨

This week’s Torah portion reminds us that every challenge and every act of kindness is guiding us back to our true selves, to balance and inner strength.🌿

Rony shares such a beautiful truth: not all giving is real giving. When we give without balance, we can actually take away someone’s chance to grow. True chesed (kindness) comes with Tiferet (the central column, balance); compassion with wisdom.💧

We’re now in the month of Cheshvam, the month of water. Water represents chesed; flowing, generous, and nurturing; yet it also teaches us to find the right vessel, the right boundaries, so that our giving doesn’t overflow and drown what we’re trying to help.

Hashem never gives us more than we can handle. Every blessing, every test, is a doorway to deeper connection and abundance. When we share with awareness, faith and love. ✨

If an Only child is not raised correctly with good values and a spiritual path, his formation and future self is almost certainly destined to fail. But teaching the child to achieve independence and to face the consequence of his/her actions is one of the best foundations to a bright future.

As a small example, Rony shares that even though he raised his only child in a more traditional/religious home with kosher food and laws, he let his son make the decision to eat or not to eat dairy right after meat and face the consequences of doing so, instead of forcing it on him.

The Last Child: When Parents Hold On a Little Tighter ✨

In the Torah, “Ben Zikunim” describes a child born to a parent in their later years. It speaks to the unique place a child can hold within a family and the special closeness that can develop between parent and child. We can see this in the Torah with Yaakov our forefather’s relationship with Yosef (one of his youngest sons).

The last child can carry a unique place within a family’s story, the one parents may naturally hold onto a little more tightly, knowing there may be no more children to come. But every soul enters a family with its own purpose and its own place.

The deeper lesson is not only in how parents love, but in how that love is experienced by each child. What matters is not simply what was intended, but what each child sees, feels, and carries within the family dynamic.

Every child deserves to feel equally seen, equally valued, and equally held. 🤍

A bit about the significance of the 10 days of Teshuva (Repentence).

HA’AZINU- Excerpt from a Weekly Tune-up class about this week’s Torah Portion. In this week’s parasha, Ha’azinu, Moshe gives us a gift: a song. The Torah says that when troubles and concealments surround us, when it feels like the problems themselves are chasing us, this song can bring us back to God.

Why a song? Because words alone can sit flat on the page, but a song uplifts, heals, and reconnects us. Singing awakens joy, and joy alone has the power to break through pain. When we’re sick or struggling, happiness is the hardest thing to access, but it’s also the greatest medicine.

That’s why Moshe didn’t just tell us, he sang to us. He wanted us to know that even in double concealment, when God feels hidden within hiddenness, we can sing ourselves back to Him.

I believe in God’s Hashgacha (Divine providence). And when I connect with joy, I become strong beyond measure.

The Middle Child: Seen Beyond Birth Order✨

In Judaism, we believe that every soul is created with its own unique purpose.

The middle child can sometimes feel caught between siblings, comparing themselves to the older one, while watching the younger one receive attention.

But their soul was never meant to compete. They were created with their own light, their own gifts, and their own path.

As parents, our role is not only to raise our children, but to see the soul within each one.

The middle child needs to know:

You don’t have to be like your siblings.
You don’t have to compete for attention.
You have your own place. Your own light. Your own purpose.

Sometimes, the greatest gift we can give a child is simply to see them for who they truly are. 🤍

The name of the weekly Parasha (Torah Portion), ‘Nitzavim’, means “standing”, but it does not just mean standing, it means standing prepared. This Parasha is always close to the holiday Rosh-Hashanah. After the two previous Torah portions, ‘Ki Tetze’ and ‘Ki Tavo’, where we fought our inner negativity and reached a higher spiritual state, we are now standing and prepared to receive our blessings for the upcoming year on Rosh-Hashanah.
