Nearly 2️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ students from 19 schools in Bochnia, PL - Sister City to Roselle, IL and the Bochnia region took part in the Knowledge Contest about the United States 🇺🇸 organized by the ENCJO Foreign Languages Center. During today’s wrap-up event at the City House of Culture, awards were given to the winners who showed impressive knowledge in history, geography, culture, symbols, key figures, and major events related to the United States. As the organizers emphasize, such great interest in the contest shows that young people want to learn more, follow their passions, and aren’t afraid to take on ambitious challenges. All the more reason to appreciate the winners’ achievements, since the contest was challenging and the first-place winners scored almost 100 percent 👏 The organizers wished the participants that the success achieved in the contest would be the beginning of more accomplishments, not only in learning English but also in discovering the world, people, and cultures.
🗣️ Congratulations were also extended to the winners by the Deputy Mayor of the City, Filip Pach, who, on his own behalf and on behalf of the Mayor of Bochnia, Magdalena Łacna, emphasized that the success of young people is a source of pride for the whole local community. He also expressed words of appreciation to teachers and parents, whose support and involvement play an important role in developing the talents and interests of the younger generation.
We warmly congratulate all the participants and winners of the competition, wishing you further success and an unending curiosity about the world! 🙂
