🦁 Roselle Lions Club – September Recap 🦁

September was another busy month for the Roselle Lions! Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to:

🍺 Supporting Our Neighbors: We showed our support for our fellow Lions in Bloomingdale by volunteering at their Septemberfest!

🥩 Annual Steak Dinner: We hosted our yearly steak dinner fundraiser at the American Legion Hall. We also had Roselle’s Chief of Fire Depart Mark Bozik as our guest speaker. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us!

👀👓 Supporting Vision Services: We donated to Lions of Illinois to help support low-vision screening services.

💵 Helping Our Community: We made a donation to the Roselle Food Pantry to help support local families in need.

🦁 Remembering a Fellow Lion: Sadly, we lost one of our longtime members, Lion Lyle Legan. He will be missed. Rest in peace, Lyle. ❤️

What’s going on with the Roselle Lions:

In August, the Roselle Lions hosted our biggest fundraiser of the year—the Taste of Roselle! 🎉This incredible community event brought together great food, live music, family fun, and plenty of Lions spirit. We are incredibly grateful to all of our volunteers, sponsors, vendors, entertainers, and everyone who came out to support us.

We are excited to welcome Lion Sue as the newest member of our Lions Club! 🎉

We’re thrilled to have Lion Sue join our Lions family and look forward to serving our community together. Thank you for choosing to serve alongside us!

Please join us in giving Lion Sue a warm Lions welcome! ❤️🦁

We are proud to welcome Timber, our canine in training for Leader Dogs for the Blind!

Lion Jeff has dedicated his time and experience to training dogs that will one day go on to assist people who are visually impaired. We’re honored to be part of Timber’s journey and excited to watch this pup grow, learn, and prepare for his very important future.

We made donations to two awesome foundations in August

Wellness House:

Wellness House is opened with a single purpose: to better the lives of people living with cancer and the people close to them. Today, they offer a variety of programs and services — exercise classes, nutrition seminars, support groups, housing. All to assist those and families healing from cancer.

We also supported Canine Companions.

Canine Companions is a national organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained service dogs at no charge to the recipient.
