On Saturday April 11, Romeo Area Optimist Club members, along with the Romeo Rotary club and 80 others, packaged 20,000 meals for the Kids Coalition Against Hunger (KCAH). 1/3 of the meals go overseas to fight famine, 1/3 stays right here in the Romeo area and the other 1/3 of the meals will provide hunger relief in Michigan's thumb area.

The Romeo Area Optimist Club had a wonderful time on March 14 in supporting the Romeo Lions Club and the St. Baldricks Day event in Romeo. The event raised more than $100,000 to combat childhood cancer. Thank you to everyone that made a donation on behalf of the Romeo Area Optimist Club team. Thanks to your generosity we exceeded our goal.

The Romeo Area Optimist Club drummed up support for its Jr. Optimist Club at the Romeo Middle School Non-profit Career Day on Thursday February 27, 2025. We had an opportunity to interact with dozens of students and provide information to the students about what a community service organization can do for their community and how students can volunteer and become a Junior Optimist. The Romeo Area Optimist Club is sponsoring the SOHO Jr. Optimist Club. Any students in grades 6 through 12 can be a member.
