Last month our graduating Senior players and partners for Varsity RP Unified Basketball were honored at their last home game with banners, balloons, flowers, and a pizza party!!! A huge thank you to everyone who made Senior Night something special for these athletes!!
Special shoutout to John and Emma McKenna for the photos, The Rocky Point Athletic Booster Club for the posters, Carl at Rocky Point Ship And Pack for the design and printing, Shannon Giagios and the RP Unified Athletic Booster Club for the flowers, balloons, and deserts, and RP SERC for the pizza!

Today, Aviators for Autism is proud to partner with Help Alliance Americas for the second year in a row, creating meaningful experiences for the neurodiverse community.

Together, we are bringing a hands-on airport experience to autistic children and their families, hosted with our venue partner, Cradle of Aviation Museum.

For many families in the autism community, air travel can feel overwhelming before they ever step foot in an airport. The crowds, sounds, unfamiliar routines, security process, boarding experience, and uncertainty can create real barriers.

This event is about helping change that.

Through play, practice, and exposure, children will have the opportunity to explore different parts of the travel journey in a supportive environment. From a scavenger hunt, to suitcase packing, to airplane boarding, the goal is simple: help children and families feel more prepared, more confident, and more comfortable with what travel can look like.

This is exactly why Aviators for Autism exists.

To expose, educate, and empower the autism and neurodiverse communities and their families through aviation.

Thank you to Help Alliance Americas and our venue partner, Cradle of Aviation Museum, for helping us create an experience that can build confidence, inspire independence, and open the door to new possibilities beyond the runway.

Tomorrow is Rocky Point Day!! Come check out all the fun! Games, Vendors, Raffles, Music, Food Trucks,…it will be a blast!!! All are welcome! RP SERC will have a table on the track on the bleacher side of the field—near the food trucks and bandstand. Here are some of the things we will have for sale!! Proceeds go toward supporting our special education students, teachers, and parents.

Come visit the RP SERC table tomorrow at Rocky Point Day!!! We will be on track on the Northeast side of the field, near the bandshell and food trucks. We have lots of fun, affordable sensory tools, including some adorable animal slow-rise squishies (similar to NeeDoh). It’s going to be a beautiful day!!

🚨 BREAKING NEWS! The Long Island Literacy Coalition is featured in a New York Focus investigation on the state of literacy education in New York! Districts are still using discredited reading curricula, and our most vulnerable students are paying the price.

LILC Co-founder Kat Fratticci speaks to the devastating impact on students of color, those from low-income families, and multilingual learners: "They don't necessarily have that safety net of private tutoring or reading specialists outside of school, so when the classroom fails them, there's no backup."

The winners of the HundredX raffles have been selected! We used the random selection generator from wheelofnames(dot)com and recorded the screen during the selection for transparency. Here are the results! We will be sending an email to the winners.
**A huge thank you to all who participated! This no-cost fundraiser is a great way to generate funds without spending cash. We were able to generate $2,102.40 this year. Let’s shoot for $5,000 next year!
