Looking for an ethical, kind driven farrier for our Sanctuary rescues. Our present farrier has a serious back issue and will be unavailable for an unknown time. I am needing a farrier asap as i have two rescues needing some extra TLC presently. Thank you! Angels with Tails Animal Sanctuary, 20700 Happy Tails Lane, Rocky Mount, MO.

Please welcome Tiffany to the Angels with Tails Animal Sanctuary volunteer program!

Oh! Tiffany is such a kind, tender, compassionate woman and gets down and dirty with us tending these rescues! This picture was from our last stop for the morning chores with our precious Otie Spagoti, the amputee steer. We have once again moved him to another habitat location that will prove even a better place, as we are having Tony and Sondra, from Independent Electric, put in electric, to plug in water trough heaters and heat lamps this upcoming winter.

Because he is an amputee in the back legs, we must continually ensure that he doesn't roll over too far on his back as he doesn't have the hind strength to get back up in the upright position. If we don't do this, he will have bedsores, which is terribly painful. Otie Spagoti weighs well over 800 pounds, and it takes a lot of sweat, dirt and his p**p on your hands and in your hair, to accomplish.

We all got er' done, once again, and those smiles on our dirty faces, are looks of "thank you Lord!", for giving us the strength and tenacity to do so! After we accomplish this task, the look in his beautiful, brown eyes are such gratefulness; and its worth every sore back in the books. Once we see him going back to slowly munching on his organic grain and yummy hay, drinking his fresh water, we know we accomplished the mission.

We love you, Tiffany, and welcome you into this beautiful world of Sanctuary. A place of peace, unconditional love and respect for all of God's creations.

Did you know that one of the programs Fresh Start has operated since we opened 10 years ago is our emergency veterinary assistance program? We understand that having a pet is expensive, especially when it comes to sudden, unforeseen vet bills which can be very costly! While we cannot help with routine vet care such as shots, well visits, or preventative care, if your pet is suffering a true emergency such as sudden onset illness or injury needing IMMEDIATE intervention, you are welcome to give us a call at 573-557-2700 or DM us on Facebook. Please note that our assistance is also limited to veterinary clinics in the Miller, Morgan, and Camden counties and financial assistance is based on a case-by-case basis.

WOW! Look at all the cool stuff at Fresh Start Animal Outreach Thrift Store in Eldon! These volunteers work hard for all of the rescues here at the lake and have set up shop just in time for your fall shopping! We love our thrift stores!

Recently, Fresh Start Animal Outreach donated $2000 to the Angels with Tails Animal Sanctuary and it was just in time so that we could fix our fencing from the summer storms and to start stocking up on all those expensive bags of organic feeds for horses, goats, bunny rabbits, goats, piggies, dogs, chickens, ducks and steer. Our last bill for feed alone, not quality hay, was well over $2500, and this sure helped us out. With the increasing prices of diesel, prices for everything is really going up, so we are ever so grateful for this extreme generosity. We are certain that there will be many that can't keep up with soaring prices and expect more rescues to be coming in. We are getting prepared to the best of our ability, as normally, much of what goes around here at the Sanctuary, comes straight out of our own personal budget. This is our mission. This is our life. And we can't work hard enough to ensure the comfort and quality of their lives is optimum.

If you are an animal lover, please donate your precious items to Fresh Start Animal Outreach or your local animal thrift stores. Rescues and sanctuaries depend on it! Every dollar...every cent!

Thank you, Fresh Start Animal Outreach....you definitely rock in our books! Now...let's go shopping!

Good morning! Today is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be so, so, so grateful! Looks like today is going to be the last of the cool days.... smile...only in the upper 80's, which is such a relief from what we have had this past summer. Starting tomorrow, all the way through next week, back in the upper 90's to 100's with heat indexes. We are strong! We are smart! And it is temporary as fall is right around the corner.

By the way, if you would like to join our Amvet's Post 108 golf tournament on Monday, September 14th at the Eldon Golf Club, please sign up! It's a super, fun tournament with all proceeds going to our devoted veterans...who rah! You can go to the Amvet's Post 108 page to see all the details and sign up. Angels with Tails Animal Sanctuary loves to support our veterans and once again will be sponsoring a hole. But....we're adding a free weekend at our Angel Hip Camp for all of those that get a hole in one! We'll probably be booked all season because so many people will be getting a hole in one.... smile. Enjoy the day, my friends! Relish the upcoming weekend with so much going on to include the annual Shoot Out here at the Lake of the Ozarks, another great group trying to help out our dedicated and hard-working firemen and women.

How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” – Psalm 133:1

Let all those that look into your eyes, see His. Peace be with you...I love you!
