Promoting Economic Development in Edgecombe County, City of Rocky Mount and the Town of Tarboro.

From an abundance of property, a plentiful workforce, good quality of life, low operating expenses, good work ethic, excellent educational and training facilities, and proximity to East Coast markets, this region has the business resources companies are seeking. Additionally, there are numerous state and local incentives and tax advantages available to companies looking to expand or relocate. And, North Carolina has the best business climate in the United States. Having been voted the "best" for three years, why consider expanding or relocating anywhere but North Carolina?

This is why I love what I do. 😊

There is something incredibly rewarding about helping our existing industries not only grow their businesses, but continue choosing to invest, expand, and create opportunities right here in our communities.

Congratulations to Astemo Indiana, Inc. and Madem-Moorecraft Reels USA, LLC on their continued investment and growth in Tarboro and Edgecombe County! The two Tarboro expansions represent 92 projected jobs and more than $45.7 million in combined investment!

Supporting our existing industries means supporting jobs, investment, and the long-term economic strength of our communities. I’m proud to play a part in helping make that happen.

Here We Grow Again! 🌱
