Our Area Director, Shane Petty, was given a vision for Polk County. It’s no small task but with the help of staff, donors and volunteers, we have started to see that vision become a reality. We have taken the FCA vision and mission and incorporated the two verses of Scripture that the Lord gave him (Isaiah 43:19 and Joshua 1:3.) to make it applicable for our area.
Vision:
To see every coach and athlete in every school and community boldly living for Jesus Christ—taking ground for His Kingdom and transforming culture through the power of the Gospel.
Mission:
To lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church, equipping them to take the land God has placed before them—their teams, campuses, locker rooms, and communities—for His glory.
“Taking the land” is about stepping into the spaces God has already assigned—schools, teams, relationships—and courageously claiming them for Christ. It’s not about control, but about influence, obedience, and faith.

We believe God is doing a new thing in our schools and teams. We will step forward in faith, take the ground He has given us, and live boldly for Jesus—right where we are.
