🚨 LABOR DAY PARADE UPDATE 🚨

The parade route has changed again this year due to construction on 15th Avenue and River Drive.

Here’s what Local 25 parade participants need to know:

📍 LINEUP: JD Harvester Works parking lot
⏰ BE THERE BY 10:30 A.M. — NO LATER! Roads will begin closing around 10:30–10:50 a.m.

🚧 DO NOT ENTER HARVEST WAY FROM RIVER DRIVE. Parade traffic will be coming out of Harvest Way at 11 a.m.

➡️ The safest entrance to JD Harvester is Harvest Way off 7th Street via 12th Avenue (westbound toward Moline).

📍 NEW SHORTER ROUTE:
Harvest Way → west on River Drive → 10th Street → 15th Avenue → 4th Street, where the parade will end.

Check out the Labor Day celebrations and events happening in September!

Saturday, Aug. 29: The Western Trades and Labor Assembly is holding their annual Labor Day BBQ Party at Machinists Local 822 (2929 N. 5th St. in Quincy). The event starts at 11 a.m. with lunch being served around noon. There will be bingo, door prizes and music after lunch.

Monday, Sept. 7: The Galesburg Labor Day parade is right around the corner! Members should meet at Big E’s on the NW corner of Main and Chambers St. around 9 a.m. for the Labor Day parade. The parade begins at 10 a.m., with games, activities and a picnic to follow at Smokin' Wi***es BBQ (161 N. Cherry St.).
