The Pilot Club of Roanoke is heartbroken over the death of our member and Friend Karene Childress Henson on Monday, April 27, 2026, at Tanner East Alabama Medical Center. She was very active in Pilot on the local and district levels holding many offices in each. Holding our top position in Alabama as our Alabama Governor. Karene was very active in her church and our community!

Funeral services will be on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 11:00 AM at First Methodist Church in Roanoke, Al. The family will receive friends at Quattlebaum Funeral Home from 4:00-6:00 PM on Thursday, April 30th.

To know her was to love her.
