Our robust community of wine producers on the North Fork, South Fork, and in western Suffolk County offer a singular Long Island experience. Long Island represents different grapes, winemaking styles, and even tasting room experiences. Extending east from New York City, and ending in the town of Greenport, to the north, and Montauk, to the south, Long Island is the easternmost point of New York State. We are a winemaking community with three distinct American Viticultural Areas (or A.V.A.s).

Built on vines first planted by longtime grower Sam McCullough, THEO Vineyard is carrying forward more than three decades of North Fork farming. Now under the ownership of Chris Ariens, the vineyard is named for his great-great-grandfather Theodore, who came to the United States and built a life rooted in agriculture.

With its first vintage from the 2025 harvest on the way and a new farmstand planned for 2027, THEO is honoring the land’s history while growing toward what comes next.
