Israel is one of the most talked about places in the world… but also one of the least understood.

Some of the biggest misconceptions:

— That Israel is a “colonizer” state. No, there is more than 3,000 years of Jewish history in the land.

— That Jews are “settlers”. No, Israel is their ancestral homeland, backed by history and recorded in the Bible.

— That this conflict is about “occupation”. No, this is about Israel’s right to exist. If Israel stopped defending itself there would be no Israel. If their enemies laid down their weapons, there would be peace.

— That criticism of Israel is the same as criticism of any other country. Not when Israel is held to standards that no other nation is expected to meet.

Israel is an incredible country in terms of history, determination, and resilience. The more you learn, the more you realize what a miracle it truly is.
