AN EVENING OF ART

Today | August Art Reception | 3-5 p.m. | Commercial Building (upstairs)

Stop by today for a special reception celebrating works inspired by Mariposa’s enchanting sunrises and sunsets, desert views, and vibrant community. Your talented neighbors are showcasing paintings and pottery to jewelry and metalwork; there’s something to spark a bit of creativity in everyone.

The reception will be held in the second-floor gallery of the Commercial Building, across the street from the Community Center.

Volunteer shifts are available between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m.; spots are filling up fast. Just sign up for the time that works best for you. As a thank-you, volunteers will also receive a highly coveted Harvest Festival t-shirt and pizza at our volunteer kickoff party on Sept. 11.

MONTHLY HIKING MEETUP

Friday, August 14 | 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. | Community Center

Ready for a mountainous escape? Beat the desert heat and explore the breathtaking Las Conchas Trail with your fellow Mariposa hikers.

Meet at the Community Center at 7:30 a.m. on Friday to carpool. The trip is a little over an hour and well worth the drive. Packing snacks is well advised.
