Such a small world! At our Amazing Place Central visit last week, Monica, a member-in-training was with us for her shadow visit. She was commenting to someone that she plays with a symphony in the Kingwood area. Member Nancy Goodearl was checking in, and perked up to hear that. Nancy is a retired Houston Symphony member. Turns out BOTH Nancy and Monica play the French horn! I love Faithful Paws and the small world moments that happen all the time!
L-R:
Marcia and Walker: their first visit after finishing their 10 probationary visits!

Monica: she loved shadowing on this fun visit

Lynn and Bailey: Amazing Place participants love holding Bailey on their laps!

Judy and Tiki: Tiki had some adorable new AI enhanced photos for our slide deck which shows as each person makes a short presentation about and with their dog!

Marty and Jax: the grandparents of the visit!

Nancy and Bibble: He doesn't play the French horn, but boy can he dance!

Also on the visit but not in the photo: Jim and Ollie, the famous Faithful Paws very talented blind and deaf dog. We ALL love seeing this team!

How blessed we are that the ACVO (Academy of Board Certified Veterinary Ophthamologists) provides annual free eye screeningfor qualifying service and working animals, including all of our certified Faithful Paws Therapy Pets. Opthamologists across the country volunteer their time and expertise during the month of May to support the animals who serve and protect us every day.

The event is sponsored bu Epicur Pharma.

Jax has been the beneficiary of this generous philantrhropic effort many times at Gulf Coast Animal Eye Clinic, where he's been examined by that facility's founder, Dr. Kohle Herrmann.

We were greeted by friendly receptionists, who loved receiving Jax's business card, and who presented him with a beautiful Epicur bandana.

Today we were delighted to meet Dr. James Herrmann, who examined Jax with gentle care. His vet tech assistant, Ariole, was ready with Jax's favorite Churu treat. It was an awesome experience, and I'm happy to report that Jax's eyes are in excellent condition!

All of us at Faithful Paws Pet Therapy are grateful for this free service to our pets, with special shoutout from Jax and me to Gulf Coast Animal Eye Clinic on Campbell Road, and Dr. James Herrmann in particular!

At Houston Methodist Hospital in the Texas Medical Center, the impact of pet therapy is felt every time ā€œDr. Dukeā€ walks into the Emergency Department. Smiles spread. Shoulders relax. And just for a moment, the stress of a long shift fades as someone calls out, ā€œDr. Duke is in the building!ā€

Alongside Dr. C. Richard Stasney, a renowned ENT specialist and founder of the Texas Voice Center, Duke is part of a Faithful Paws therapy team bringing joy and relief to healthcare workers in high-pressure environments. You can read more about this PAWsome team on our website: https://faithfulpawshouston.org/a-legacy-of-compassion-lives-on/

Armed with a canister of whipped cream, the duo invites staff to share a moment of delight—offering pup cups and a brief, meaningful pause in otherwise demanding days.

Your support helps us train, certify, and support more therapy teams so more moments like this can happen every single day.

Thank you so much from all of us at Faithful Paws Pet Therapy! šŸ™šŸ’›

It was a red letter day for our new visit at the recently opened Amazing Place West! We have a long standing relationship with Amazing Place and it's a thrill to partner with them at their new location! The participants enjoyed learning about our pups and seeing all of their tricks!
