Obituary Notice
It is with deep sorrow that Intra Foundation of greater Columbus announce the passing of Late Mrs. Toka M. Gautam, who passed away on April 28, 2026.
Toka M. Gautam was born on April 4, 1944, in Linchi Village, Sikkim, India, to her father Padam Lal Dhital and mother Laxmi Dhital.
Later, her family moved to Bana, Bhutan, where she lived until 1992. In 1992, she was forcefully evicted by the Bhutanese government along with more than 100,000 other Bhutanese refugees. She then settled in the Pathari Refugee Camp, where she lived for 18 years before being resettled in the United States of America in 2010, in Washington State.
Since then, she lived with her son, Moni Gautam. The family later moved to Ohio, where she spent her final years in Blacklick.
She was a widow. Her husband, Late Mr. Tilachan Gautam, passed away many years ago.
She is survived by her 5 sons, 5 daughters-in-law, 1 daughter, 13 grandsons, 9 granddaughters, and 4 great-grandchildren.
