Obituary Notice

It is with deep sorrow that Intra Foundation of greater Columbus announce the passing of Late Mrs. Toka M. Gautam, who passed away on April 28, 2026.

Toka M. Gautam was born on April 4, 1944, in Linchi Village, Sikkim, India, to her father Padam Lal Dhital and mother Laxmi Dhital.

Later, her family moved to Bana, Bhutan, where she lived until 1992. In 1992, she was forcefully evicted by the Bhutanese government along with more than 100,000 other Bhutanese refugees. She then settled in the Pathari Refugee Camp, where she lived for 18 years before being resettled in the United States of America in 2010, in Washington State.

Since then, she lived with her son, Moni Gautam. The family later moved to Ohio, where she spent her final years in Blacklick.

She was a widow. Her husband, Late Mr. Tilachan Gautam, passed away many years ago.

She is survived by her 5 sons, 5 daughters-in-law, 1 daughter, 13 grandsons, 9 granddaughters, and 4 great-grandchildren.

International Welfare and Support Foundation of America – Greater Columbus Office is a welfare organization dedicated to community service and support.

Our office has been actively working to assist common people, especially those who are illiterate, less privileged, or facing difficulties with important life matters such as applying for citizenship, Green Card renewal, passports, food stamps, Medicaid, and understanding official mail and documents. CEO Dilli Adhikari , a high visionary man with big heart opened this organisation to provide services and giveback to our community folks. It’s 501C registered organisations nationally and internationally. Services are being provided in 7 cities in USA.

Intra Foundation helps community members by guiding, directing, and directly assisting families during difficult times, including funeral arrangements and support with funeral expenses for aides and family members.

The Foundation also strongly encourages youth participation in sports and games to keep their minds and bodies healthy in today’s busy world. Every year, we organize interstate soccer and volleyball tournaments alternately to engage and encourage youth, boys, girls, and veterans.

Intra Foundation of Columbus has been running free dance and vocal classes every Friday and weekend since 2022, with more than 400 students enrolled. Our dance students have performed wonderfully on many stages, and our vocal students are equally talented.

So far, our free services have benefited more than 4,000 genuine community members in this city by helping them obtain citizenship certificates, permanent residency documents, and other important paperwork.

We kindly request everyone to check the Green Cards of your family members—sons, daughters, uncles, aunties, brothers, and sisters. Expired Green Cards can create problems in obtaining a driver’s license, jobs, and other important services.

We have also assisted numerous families whose homes were damaged by fire by helping them with groceries, utensils, clothes, and other basic necessities.

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Padam Gurung.

Date of Birth: December 1948
Date of Death: March 31, 2026

Born in Samchi Manegaon, Bhutan, he later moved to Nepal in 1990 and lived as a refugee in Beldagi-2, Jhapa. In 2012, he resettled in Dallas, Texas, and most recently moved to Fairfield Township, Ohio.

He passed away peacefully due to natural causes, surrounded by his loving family and relatives.

Holi Celebration with Our Cincinnati Ohio Intra Family.
Today was not just a celebration, it felt like home.

Intra National Welfare and Support Foundation of America proudly brought together our students, teachers, parents, foundation members, and community friends to celebrate Holi, the beautiful festival of colors.

Laughter filled the air. Colors filled our hands. Joy filled our hearts.

Our children didn’t just play with colors, they connected with their roots. Our elders didn’t just watch, they guided, blessed, and shared stories. Families didn’t just attend, they became part of something bigger.

This is how culture lives on.
This is how heritage stays strong.
This is how community becomes family.

When we stand together, celebrate together, and grow together, our traditions don’t fade. They flourish.
