In recognition of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD), the Sorors of Sigma Iota Zeta Chapter wore purple to raise awareness of the global effort to prevent elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Today serves as a reminder of our shared responsibility to protect, respect, and advocate for older adults in our communities and around the world.

Elder abuse is a serious global issue impacting millions of older adults every year. On this important day, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated stands united in raising awareness about the mistreatment and neglect of our elders.

We are committed to creating a world where our seniors are respected, valued, and protected. Let’s take action by:

💙 Educating ourselves and others
💙 Supporting and checking in on our elderly community members
💙 Advocating for the rights and dignity of older adults

Together, we can be a voice for those who may not be heard.

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Sigma Iota Zeta Chapter is proud to partner with the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) Columbus Section for a Community Diaper Drive! 🍼💙

Join us on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Linden Library as we come together to support families in need throughout our community.

We are collecting new diapers (newborn through size 6), pull-ups, and wipes to help reach NCNW Columbus Section’s goal of providing essential resources to local families. All donations will benefit The Amethyst Program with Alvis, Inc.

Every diaper donated makes a difference. Help us give back, support our community, and make a lasting impact—one donation at a time!

Yesterday, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Sigma Iota Zeta Chapter had the distinct honor of visiting the Ohio Statehouse, where we were proudly recognized during the Ohio Senate Session by State Senator Michele Reynolds and received a congratulatory letter from the President of the Ohio Senate in recognition of our chapter’s 25th Anniversary. Additionally, our chapter was honored on the House Floor by Ohio State Representative Meredith Lawson-Rowe.

We are deeply grateful for this recognition and remain committed to uplifting the Reynoldsburg and Greater Columbus communities while carrying forward our principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood for generations to come.
