Today is World Day Against Child Labor, and the crisis is much closer to home than we think. Across the United States, child labor violations are actively on the rise, particularly in manufacturing jobs.

This is a failure of our systems. When immigrant rights are ignored and systemic poverty is allowed to fester, the most vulnerable members of our society, our children, pay the ultimate price.

At ICNA CSJ, we refuse to accept the exploitation of marginalized families. We are fighting back by advocating for comprehensive labor rights, corporate accountability, and the protection of vulnerable communities.

For individuals held at the Torrance County Detention Facility in Estancia, NM, a prayer rug is more than just a piece of fabric. It is a physical space where they can connect with their Creator and find peace in a difficult environment.

Because of your generosity, ICNA CSJ was able to provide these prayer rugs so our brothers could establish their Jummah prayers with dignity.

As we seek Allah's mercy on Arafah, let us extend mercy to the oppressed.

The Prophet ﷺ taught us: "Have mercy on those on the earth, and the One in the heavens will have mercy on you." (Tirmidhi)

Mercy in action means standing up against injustice. It means defending the rights of the marginalized, fighting Islamophobia, and ensuring that our systems do not exploit the vulnerable.

On the day of Arafah, maximize your reward by standing for justice. Give your Sadaqah before Maghrib and fuel ICNA CSJ's work.

The deadly shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego has left our community heartbroken. We lost at least three beautiful souls, including Brother Amin Abdullah, a hero who sacrificed his own life to protect the worshippers and children inside.

At ICNA CSJ, our grief is matched only by our resolve. We are demanding immediate systemic action, including a full DOJ hate crime investigation, the expansion of federal security grants for mosques, and absolute accountability for the public figures who normalize Islamophobia.
